Marvel Legends Deadpool Series Released Overseas!

Although 2018 kicked off with the surprisingly outstanding Marvel Legends Black Panther series, it’s otherwise been a bit of a slow start for Marvel Legends 2018. We won’t see most of this year’s new figures revealed until New York Toy Fair 2018 next month, and we’re still waiting for the Lizard and Sasquatch series to go up for order domestically. But internationally, the Marvel Legends Deadpool series was just released this week—including a mass-release X-Force Deadpool Hasbro hasn’t officially announced yet!

Marvel Legends Deadpool Series Figures Released

We officially found out about the Deadpool Legends series of 6” figures way way back in July 2017 at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, and it’s been a long half-year of slow reveals for the wave, but finally, all of Hasbro’s cards are on the table!

It was mentioned at NYCC 2017 that we’d likely be seeing the previously Hascon Exclusive X-Force Deadpool again, and Hasbro was true to their word: as rumored, Marvel Legends X-Force Deadpool gets a mass release as part of this series!

Marvel Legends 2018 X-Force Deadpool Figure Packaged with Sasquatch HeadNow, to be fair, this isn’t quite the same figure as the one that was got at HasCon.  This time out, the Marvel Legends Deadpool X-Force variant figure has thicker ankle bands and wrist bands, as well as a different and more limited batch of accessories.

I got my own HasCon X-Force Deadpool and reviewed it back in September, and I’m quite happy with the quality of the figure. But for those who didn’t get that variant and don’t want to spend several times as much for it, this mass release ML Deadpool X-Force is a pretty spectacular consolation prize.

Marvel Legends 2018 Classic Deadpool Figure PackagedThe photos leaking out into Facebook from the Phillipines and Bangladesh also confirm a few other things about the series, including that the red “normal” Deadpool figure is the one double-packed figure in the case and comes without a Sasquatch Build-A-Figire.

With the huge accessories assortments that the X-Men Legends Deadpool and the HasCon X-Force iteration came with, it’s more than a little sad to see that the classic Deadpool in this series comes with no accessories beyond a pair of katana swords. Alas.

Marvel Legends 2018 Cable Figure Packaged

The Marvel Legends Domino and Cable figures in the wave look all-out awesome, with the only real weaknesses I can see with either figure being Domino’s lack of a biceps swivel and purple weapons lacking paint deco.

With both these iconic X-Force characters being packed at one-per-case, it seems like an almost “sure thing” that these will be the hottest figures from the wave and the hardest to find in stores. Let’s hope we get straight cases of both available to online retailers!

The remaining three figures in the wave are the previously-announced Marvel Legends X-Force X-23, Deathlok and Paladin figures (all of which are one-per-case).

2018 Marvel Legends Domino Figure PackagedThe Deadpool Marvel Legends Sasquatch series should be up for order online sometime in the next few weeks, and I’ll post updates here and to the Marvel Toy News Twitter and Facebook Pages once they’re available in the United States. I’ll also be reporting love from Manhattan during New York Toy Fair 2018 next month, so stay tuned for copious amounts of Marvel Legends 2018 news in the coming weeks.

Now that the series is officially out in the wild (at least, somewhere in the world!), what are your present feelings on the Marvel Legends Sasquatch BAF series? What figures from this wave are on your shipping list, and how do you feel about a slightly different version of the HasCon Exclusive variant being included as part of this assortment?

  1. What is the deal with the guns Hasbro is putting out with these figures? I mean just going back to Black Widow up to these they either look nothing like real guns or are painted like they are full size toy guns with the the orange tip…or not at all. Do they think that someone is going to mistake a one inch plastic gun for a real one? I really don’t get it.
While I’m on my soapbox, I dare someone to show me a buckle like the one on Domino’s belt that is metal. I have one of those belts with that buckle and they are flat black plastic. So are the tabs on either side of the buckle. Sure it could be painted silver, but why? They are meant to be subdued…tactical.

    • Not really. If you want nothing from the wave except the BAF, just get the Build-A-Figure alone on eBay. It’ll probably be $60 or $70. That’s better than paying a buck 40 for figs you don’t want just to get Sasquatch.

      • Let’s do some quick math: case is of 8, so that’s gonna be around $160. If you carefully remove the BAF pieces and sell the figures without them, you can probably grab around $10-15. Classic Deadpool has no BAF piece and will be packed twice, so we can’t count him here. 6 figures at the low end of $10 will net you $60, plus the two Deadpools resold around retail will likely get you about $40 – that’s a total of $100. Unfortunately, that leaves us pretty much in the same place as just buying the BAF. Demand is super up in the air so the BAF may be more than $60-70 on eBay, but the figures may go for more than the low-end estimates as well (or possibly even lower). It’s a total gamble. I would have said this stuff is gonna be hot due to the property, but they double-packed Deadpool Classic and skimped on a lot of accessories.

  2. Skipping most of this wave, most likely pick-up for me is Deathlok. Still, I’m pretty amazed that we’re less than 1 month into 2018 and we’ve already seen 3 waves worth of figs! The wave I’m really looking forward to is the Apocalypse wave

    • I agree. Huge Deathlok fan as well and he is the only character of any interest to me. I never liked X Force or Deadpool so this wave is mostly a pass.

  3. Since I’m going to want several of these, I might as well get them all rather than go after a Sasquatch on ebay, but it does disappoint me that I’ll have to get that X-Force Deadpool variant to do so. I have no connection with him in anything but classic red, so… oh well. But Sasquatch is a must have (any Alpha Flight related characters would be), and Paladin and Dominoe are highly interesting to me. I have a Cable but this one looks different enough for me. Glad to not have to get another Deadpool red for a build a figure piece. Pass on that one.

  4. Absolutely want that Cable, he’s the version I really wanted and he looks incredible. That original Deadpool looks like a nice upgrade to the Juggernaut DP, with the exception of a sorely missed alternate head. Deathlok looks great, but I don’t really like him as a character; too ugly. Paladin is incredibly boring and I’m not really impressed with Domino either. Wish X-23 was Wolverine style costume. Finally, I don’t need that X-Force DP with those Nerf guns.
    BRING ON THE LIZARD WAVE!

  5. Cable, Domino at retail price for me. Will try to wait for the rest of the wave on discounted price via amazon. Not a fan of X-23, this is a better classic Deadpool that the Jugg wave but I don’t need him (or I don’t need him right away), ditto X-force Deadpool. Paladin who?? Why is Deathlok here?

I want that Sasquatch BAF though.

  6. Its going to be 40 bucks each here in Singapore… And the grey Deadpool lacks of alternate head is a huge letdown.. Wish they put the price point closer to the States.. Hasbro distributor’s in Asia are really leeches..

  7. Not fussed about the X Force Deadpool one way or the other. Missed the first go, and it’s not a look I’m down with. It’ll be cool to pair him with X-23 in the same uniform.

My must haves are X-23, Domino, and Cable. Waited ages for X and Domino. Domino is one of my all time favourite characters. And that Cable is perfect for my nostalgia as I grew up with that era. Classic Deadpool looks alright, just like the original Toy Biz figure.

Deathlok always looks cool. Paladin does nothing for me. I’m getting the whole set to build Sasquatch, so I hope they give me more Alpha Flight in the coming years. Seems like it could be an easy kitbash boxed set.

Overall this wave delivers many things that please me, executed well. I just wish X had an alternate calmer unmasked head. I hear word of an All New Wolverine figure so maybe that will have two heads.

My second most anticipated wave of the year after summer X-Men.
