2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 1 Case Ratios & Pre-Order!

When the hi-res images of the long-awaited Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 2015 Wave 1 4″ figures finally appeared last night, I knew that the time was nearly upon us. And less than 24 hours later, it has arrived–the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 1 figures are now up for order! Are the case ratios all they’re cracked up to be? And did someone say “price increase”?

Marvel Universe 2015 Wave 1 Figures Series Case

I spent a lot of time last night discussing eight of the nine figures in this first wave of 2015 Marvel Infinite Series (AKA Marvel Universe) wave (the repacked Hakweye is a late addition that luckily doesn’t require any discussion), so I’ll just jump straight to the chase now and take a look at what we’ve all been waiting for: the Hasbro case ratios!

The case ratios for Marvel Infinite Series/Marvel Universe 2015 Wave 1 are as follows:

(2) Marvel Infinite Series Big-Time Spider-Man Figure
(2) Marvel Infinite Series Sandman (Regular) Figure
(2) Marvel Infinite Series Beast (Blue) Figure
(1) Marvel Infinite Series Sandman (Sand Form Variant) Figure
(1) Marvel Infinite Series Beast (Grey Variant) Figure
(1) Marvel Infinite Series Bishop Figure
(1) Marvel Infinite Series Black Cat Figure
(1) Marvel Infinite Series Hawkeye Figure
(1) Marvel Infinite Series Daredevil Figure

Hasbro Marvel Universe 2015 Sandman Figure PackagedThe Marvel Universe Sandman and Beast figures should both be quite popular (despite the articulation shortcomings on Beast), and if the quality control on Big-Time Spidey is good and his paint deco isn’t ruined (a big if), I think he’ll also do well sales wise. All-in-all, I think that this is a pretty decent case-pack. Good job, Hasbro!

Marvel Infinite Series 2015 Bishop Figure PackagedOf course, there is one distressing detail about this pre-order: the price. Whereas we’ve become accustomed to paying $115-$120 for a full case of 12 Marvel Universe figures over the past year, the rumored price increase of 2015 does appear to be real. This first 2015 Marvel Infinite Series 1 case is sporting a price-tag of $150–a 25% price hike from last year! At that price, the figures average out to be $12.50 each. Yikes!

Considering that we are getting less articulation and sometimes sculpts that don’t look as nice in this year’s new style of Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figure line, I think this year is going to be a major collecting jumping-off point for a lot of folks (and honestly, maybe even me).

Marvel Universe Beast 4 Inch Figure Packaged Hasbro 2015The first wave of this year’s Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures is now available for order, and is scheduled to arrive in February 2015. I still have doubts about the figures actually arriving on time with all of the drama and holdups at the west coast ports, but I guess we won’t have to wait long to find out if these end up making it out on time!

Now that we know the case assortment–and the perhaps damning cost of said case–will you be buying any or all of the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 1 figures, Marvel collectors?

  1. 145$ with shipping for a 9 figures, most of which shouldn’t even sell for 10$, no thank you.

    • Ive been collecting this line since day one and I have bought a case everytime they have been solicited, I refuse to pay bbts or anyone at that mastter a marked up price for a case of 9 figures, and yes, bbts is raping people at the 9 figure case price.

  2. i will keep on buying them until they end or until i have every character i want which is quite a bit. I don’t buy the box assortments since i don’t want all of them. I buy them as singles on ebay as long as their less than 20 bucks. i dont mind paying a little extra depending on the character, that way i don’t waste time or spend money on gas going from store to store looking for them, it gets more expensive than just paying a few more bucks on ebay.

    • Indeed! Well said! I am still a fan and will keep getting these too.
The way I see it,I have paid 15-20 dollars for these at my comic shops and at conventions. 12.99 @Target is way under that.

  3. I’m not going to be a baby about it or anything, but I would like to contact Hasbro and at least voice my preference/opinion on the articulation matter with the new figures. They say 1 written letter is viewed as 1,000 opinions in the public to a large business. So that being said, does anyone know how I can contact the people who make these decisions? I’m not going to blast them or anything. I just want to give them a simple opinion and what I do and don’t like about their new approach with the figures. I expect 0% sway in any of their decision making. But who knows, maybe on the right day at the right time, with the right words, something will sink in and at least make the decision maker think about it for even one extra minute before finalizing a project.

If anyone has a site or contact for me to write to, that would be great.

    Thanks guys.

  4. Just spotted these in the Arden NC Target (minus Black Cat and Grey Beast…and maybe Venom). They were front and center on the pegs, but mixed in with leftover Hyperions, Grim Reapers, etc.
