While we’ve had a veritable deluge of Hasbro Marvel Legends figures that have come our way this year, there’s one figure that I’ve been excited about above all others: the long-awaited X-Men Legends Nimrod figure with both classic and Jonathan Hickman heads! And 5+ months after his big reveal, he’s finally up for grabs: the AMAZON EXCLUSIVE Marvel Legends Nimrod, Psylocke and Fantomex figures set is now up for order! 

Nimrod has long appeared near the top of X-Men fans’ wish lists for X-Men Marvel Legends action figures, but I was sort of indifferent to the supreme Sentinel evolution myself–right up until he appeared in last year’s Jonathan Hickman House of X/Powers of X storyline and Nimrod instantly became one of my favorite X-Men villains ever. Thanks, Jonathan Hickman!!

So when we first saw the reveal of Marvel Legends Nimrod at Toy Fair 2020 in February, my eyes lit up in a flash and I’ve been impatiently waiting for more details on the figure ever since. And today–we got all the details, the official photos and even the chance to pre-order!

As was hotly rumored, ML Nimrod is in fact part of a 3-Pack with new versions of Marvel Legends Psylocke and Fantomex, along with loads of accessories. The set is an Amazon exclusive, which is A-OK by me, as I was able to order the two that I needed (more on that shortly) already and can now sit around twiddling my thumbs while I wait for my most-anticipated Marvel Legends set in ages to arrive.

The box back features the all-new, all-awesome character illustration packaging. I think they should have Photoshopped Betsy into her black costume (since she’s wearing it for this toy and all), but it’s a sweet box back nonetheless.

Nimrod will come with both his classic comic book “pink face” head, as well as a modern Hickman HoX/PoX styled “white face” interchangeable head. While I much prefer the Hickman look, I am a total mark for this robot now, so I feel like I need to have two sets so I can display both versions of the Sentinel. It sucks being an addict.

The Apocalypse Series Psylocke Marvel Legends figure is extremely hard to get and expensive now, so I’m sure many fans will appreciate getting her repainted into her modern black X-Force costume. I actually never managed to get the SDCC X-Force Exclusive set a few years ago, so I’m pumped about finally owning an X-Force Psylocke.

The old Marvel Legends Fantomex figure from the Arnim Zola Build-A-Figure series was badly outdated and in need of an update, so I’m pleased to see a more modern body being used to refresh Fantomex. It looks like he can hold the guns he comes with a bit better this time out, and the blast effects are win. Love it.

The Marvel Legends X-Men Psylocke, Nimrod and Fantomex 3-Pack is now up for order exclusively on Amazon. It’s scheduled for released on November 1, 2020, and won’t be available via local retailers or other online retailers (what with being an Amazon exclusive and all).
