There hasn’t been a non-exclusive Marvel Legends action figure released since last summer, and the natives are starting to get restless! While some factory samples of the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series figures slipped out a month ago, there was no official word from Hasbro that retailers could begin taking pre-orders–much less an actual release date. But thankfully, relief is finally in sight: the Avengers Marvel Legends 2015 Infinite Series figures are now up for order!
Hasbro hasn’t always made the best moves with the case packs for their Marvel Legends 6″ figures, but this time, I think Hasbro has actually put together the best possible case pack…
The 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 1 case ratios are as follows:
(2) Avengers Marvel Legends Hawkeye Figure
(1) Avengers Marvel Legends Thor Figure
(1) Avengers Marvel Legends Captain Marvel Carol Danvers Figure
(1) Avengers Marvel Legends Scarlet Witch Figure
(1) Avengers Marvel Legends Sentry Figure
(1) Avengers Marvel Legends Iron Fist Figure
(1) Avengers Marvel Legends Machine Man Figure
I’m grateful that, unlike the Marvel Infinite Series 2015 Wave 1 cases, there is thus far no price increase for Marvel Legends in 2015. $20 per figure for Marvel Legends is the price-point that Hasbro needs to keep these 6″ action figures at to avoid cutting off all casual, non-collector buyers, so I’m pleased that Hasbro has resisted the temptation to raise prices again (after Marvel Legends first jumped to a $20 per figure MSRP in 2014).
The Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series Wave 1 figures are now available for order, with an expected release date of February 2015. With all the craziness and shipping delays at the western ports, I wouldn’t be surprised if these figures did end up arriving a bit late, but online retailers sound awfully certain that these will be arriving on time, so I guess we’ll see!
Now that they are finally officially available for pre-order, which Marvel Legends Avengers figures (if any) will you be buying, Marvel collectors?
I am super excited for this wave. I plan on buying doubles of the appropriate figures to get both Odin and King Thor. So excited and can’t wait for when they’r released.
2 hawk eyes geeez so good finaly seen a good case ratios
I’m fairly new to this so I was curious if buying the whole set and then selling the build-a-figure is a wise move. I really would like just three figures in the line(maybe a fourth, Scarlet Witch) but I’d like to save some money in the process.
So does anyone know if this is a good idea/bad idea?
Buy them all.
Do you think I’ll be able to make enough money of the build-a-figure and the 3 or 4 I don’t want?
I’m not spending that amount of money unless I know I can recoup most of the expense/get the ones I really want for cheaper.
It is far easier to just sell the parts from the three guys that you do want to buy. BAF parts sell for decent rates on ebay once the wave is out.
I don’t quite understand your motives here. I’ve made arrangements with fellow collectors when one of us wanted the BAF but not the figures in wave or vice versa.
Eg: I built 2 MANDROID bafs without having to buy 2 Winter soilders,2Caps. A friend gave me the BAF parts after he acquired the above 2 figures as he had no interest in MANDROID.
He didn’t charge me and I returned the favor by giving him a spare figure from a 2-pack he wanted.
I did buy 2 Black Widow figures, and sold the spare to my local comic shop. My local shop buys BAF,and parts, but I didn’t feel like waiting for them to get a MANDROID in or maybe paying too much for it.
I also look around at Flea markets. One of my best deals was made at one for cash and trade. My objective this time:Fin Fang Foom, and just 3 other figures in that series.
There are web stores,eBay among them, that sell BAFs which I hold in reservation as a last resort if I can’t use any of the above methods to acquire the figures.
Which leads me back to your motives for Building the Figure only to sell it,especially since your initial desire is only 3-4 of the
7 total figures.
It is easily possible to buy Scarlet Witch and the other 3 in Target,Walmart Walgreens or ToysRus and join their rewards programs, use app coupons, and sell the unwanted BAF parts(or give them away to a friend) and easily get your moneys worth.
I assume you’re replying to me. My thinking was to just save some money and that having extra build-a-figure pieces(not a completed figure) results in me just having extra junk lying around. I’m not trying to make a profit or anything. I’ve decided to just get the figures I want and maybe try to sell the build-a-figure pieces on ebay or to the comic shop(I know zero people that collect figures).
Cool, capt. Sounds good. That should work.Cheers!
Me encanta esta wave y voy a comprar las figuras restantes para poder tener a odin y rey thor …. muy bien hasbro
Do NOT bring scalper business here!!!
To late for me to get these from BBTS. I already pre ordered iron fist, hawkeye and sentry from toys r us. I want scarlet witch so bad! To bad it was sold out.
Cancel it. Use bbts, entertaimentearth or Dorksidetoys.
If you want them all, that is.
If not these will be in stores all over the place soon enough!(depending on your region) I preordered a case as a backup and plan on buying at least 3 each of the ladies in the Targets, Walgreens, Walmart etc.
Thor, Sentry and Scarlet Witch at first. But I’ll probably end up buying all of them just to have Odin and King Thor!
UGH, I just realized that Iron Fist uses the Big Time/Scarlet Spider mold. I really despise that mold, it is just so bad. I looks fine on it’s own, but its proportions are so different than anything else in the line. The neck joint is wacky, the ab-crunch and shoulders have so much daylight shining through, just bad.
I’d appreciate an update for the Apocalypse series Iron Fist, my only problem with that mold is the ball-shoulders. And while the super-hero-ankle-boots are appropriate to the white costume (sometimes), I did appreciate the slippers on the old one. It made him distinct.
Yes and yes. You have just about covered all the bases. Check-check and check. The ab crunch that you could drive a sunbeam through is too hilarious on that old Bullseye mold/buck. They actually improved it for Scarlet Spider(imho) by adding new legs, hands and feet. Toybiz used it masterfully for Bullseye,Capt.Marvel,Havok and Giantman, but when Hasbro got it I just don’t know what happened. Lol.. Gaurdian,Dakken,Yellowjacket,Constrictor,Quicksilver and the ugliest spacecop figure ever seen Nova.Really bad. Glad they updated that one!
I have them all so Ironfist will have plenty company,I actually never intended to have white tights I.Fist, but he completes Odin BAF and the rainbow of kung-fu fist outfits figures from the Apocalpypse BAF wave you mentioned. I can overlook those shoulders(but I see them) as one of those exceptional figures that can assume appropriate kung-fu stances:Dragon,Tiger,Crane,Horse,Lotus…that kind of kung-fu “slipper” fun makes me un see those swollen ball shoulder muscles;-)
when is the actual release date?? where i will be able to see and buy them in person at target or kmart????????????????? cause i cant get a straight answer anywhere????
There is no straight answer, because this wave hasn’t been street-dated. They’ll be put out in stores once they arrive.
These have already hit the shelves at some Targets
