It’s been a pretty rough couple years for poor Electro. First there was the critically-maligned Electro character design from Amazing Spider-Man 2, then in the comics Electro lost control of his powers, accidentally murdered his girlfriend, lost his powers entirely, and then got killed himself by his resurrected girlfriend–the new female Electro. The holiday season is approaching, the clock is ticking down on 2016, and collectors are getting restless to complete their 2016 collections! And that’s why there’s no better time for Hasbro to allow the final Marvel Legends 2016 series to go up for sale! And to celebrate the final arc of Hickman’s final pre-Secret Wars storyline, Marvel has now announced the Marvel Unlimited Plus 2017 exclusive Marvel Legends “Time Runs Out” Captain Marvel six inch figure!
Continue Reading →With hundreds of Marvel action figures getting released each year, sometimes a few fall through the cracks for a few days and then I don’t write a release blurb for them because I think it’s not really “news” anymore. But the dozens of readers writing in to me each day urging me to talk about the 2016 Target and Toys R Us Marvel Legends exclusives seem to think otherwise, so let’s take a look at this summer’s multi-packs…

If you missed it, don’t despair–there are plenty available of The Raft set on the aftermarket for around MSRP! Anyway, although most collectors who wanted The Raft have purchased it already, there’s one more figure from the set I want to review: Marvel Legends Sandman in his sand form!

While we saw well over a dozen new Marvel Legends 2017 figures at San Diego Comic-Con last month (some of which may arrive at the end of 2016), there’s still one full series of official 2016 figures on the way: the Marvel Legends Doctor Strange movie series! I posted packaged photos of Enchantress and Astral Dr. Strange yesterday, but now let’s take a look at the rest of the Dormammu Build-A-Figure wave in hi-res photos glory…
Continue Reading →Last week when I reviewed the SDCC 2016 Marvel Legends Enchantress figure, I bemoaned the fact that the anticipated and oft-rumored single-packaged Enchantress figure wasn’t announced for the Marvel Legends Doctor Strange Series during the show. Well, it looks like we just had to be patient and wait for all of those box sets to be sold, because hot on the heels of The Raft selling out online, Enchantress and Astral Form Doctor Strange Marvel Legends figures have been revealed!
Continue Reading →Today is the big day that Hasbro will be selling the remainder of their SDCC 2016 exclusives stock online, so what better day to look at another heavy-hitter from the SDCC Marvel Legends The Raft set than today, right? I expected him to be one of the most sought-after figures from the set on the aftermarket, but the Marvel Legends Abomination is actually one of the least expensive figures from the set! Is the lack of interest in this Abomination figure justified…?
Continue Reading →It seems about a million years ago, but San Diego Comic-Con 2016 was still raging on just two weeks ago. And during that mega-event, Hasbro had their own toy event going on–the first round of the 2016 Marvel Legends Fan’s Choice Poll! And now that the dust has had a chance to settle, this week Hasbro announced the four finalists who will compete in the Marvel Legends 2016 Fans Choice Poll beginning next week!
Continue Reading →Marvel Legends San Diego Comic-Con exclusive sets are famous for bringing us some off-the-wall characters that we’d likely never see at mass retail, and I think that’s epitomized by the subject of today’s review: Marvel Legends Dreadknight! While Dreadknight is actually selling for surprisingly cheap on the aftermarket, he surpasses the Enchantress as my favorite figure in the con exclusive set this year…
Continue Reading →Remember when Hasbro released the Marvel Legends Civil War Spider-Man figure in a 3-Pack with Iron Man and Captain America repaints and everyone called foul? Well, collectors who disliked that pack are going to hate this new Disney Store exclusive Marvel Legends Civil War Four-Pack that has appeared online, which contains four repackaged figures and one new accessory…
Continue Reading →San Diego Comic-Con 2016 may have come and gone, but there’s still a chance for collectors to obtain the Hasbro SDCC 2016 exclusives next week on Hasbro Toy Shop! And with that in mind, there’s no better time to review the Marvel Legends The Raft set figures than now–beginning with the hottest one! Fans have demanded a Marvel Legends Enchantress for years, and she’s selling for more than half the cost of the whole set on the aftermarket–but is Enchantress worth the hype?
Continue Reading →While the Marvel Legends 6″ line is definitely Hasbro’s marquee superhero product line these days, that doesn’t mean that Hasbro has left the Marvel Universe/Marvel Legends 4″ collectors out to dry!
