The year is off to a controversial start for the long-running Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series (AKA Marvel Universe) toy line, as prices for the line are at an all-time high and articulation has been reduced to an all-time low. That said, the first wave of 2015 Marvel Infinite Series had some strong figures in it, and based off the case ratios and prototypes, the next wave will have some hot characters in it as well. Marvel Infinite Series Wave 7–including Shanna the She-Devil and the Vulture–is now up for order!

Of all the various Avengers Age of Ultron toy lines out there, the sole one that I immediately wrote off as being junk was the Hasbro 4″ Avengers Age of Ultron figures. With the line’s wonky paint deco and five points of articulation, I genuinely thought that Hasbro had zero plans for this line that would get collectors excited. I was wrong. Coming soon to Avengers Age of Ultron 4″: Scarlet Witch, Ultron 2.0 and Iron Legion figures!
Continue Reading →Although some stores started accidentally putting product out on the shelves weeks ago, this week is the official launch window for the majority of the Avengers: Age of Ultron toys! And, as with most Marvel Studios films, Hasbro has now released a series of Marvel Universe-scale 4″ Avengers of Ultron toys. But while the Hasbro 4″ Marvel figures are traditionally some of their most beloved offerings, I have a feeling that the Avengers Age of Ultron All-Stars Figures are not going to be welcomed with warms, loving arms by many collectors…
Continue Reading →When the hi-res images of the long-awaited Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 2015 Wave 1 4″ figures finally appeared last night, I knew that the time was nearly upon us. And less than 24 hours later, it has arrived–the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 1 figures are now up for order! Are the case ratios all they’re cracked up to be? And did someone say “price increase”?
Continue Reading →Hasbro is obviously very high on their new 2.5″ scale of Marvel action figures, as evidenced by the fact that it was the main scale for their Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron movie toys. But even though Hasbro is enamored with this new, smaller scale, that doesn’t mean that they’ve totally abandoned Marvel Universe/Marvel Infinite Series collectors to the cold, hard world! Hasbro has a full series of eight 3 3/4″ Marvel Infinite Series 2015 figures scheduled to come out early this year! Although, the style is a little bit “different” than what we’ve come to expect…
Continue Reading →A couple weeks back I reviewed the 2014 X-Men Marvel Legends Cyclops figure. That 6″ Cyclops figure had its share of flaws and failed to impress me, but Hasbro had one other Cyclops figure lined up for this year: the previously-canceled Marvel Universe Astonishing Cyclops figure.
I had high enough hopes for this long-delayed 4″ figure that I didn’t mind ordering Cyclops online, but ultimately the Marvel Infinite Series Cyclops figure ended up disappointing me as well…
Continue Reading →Ah, Ares. Fans were skeptical when the Greek God of War joined the Avengers, but Ares’ smash-and-kill go-get-’em attitude quickly won over many readers. And then Ares died the most gruesome death in the history of Marvel Comics, as he was bilaterally ripped in half by the Sentry. To commemorate that memorable event, Hasbro is finally bringing Ares to the Marvel Universe scale, as the Marvel Infinite Series Ares figure was released this summer! Is this 3 3/4″ Ares figure worth adding to your collection? Read on…
Continue Reading →Hasbro waltzed into San Diego Comic Con 2014 this week and really knocked the socks off of Marvel Legends collectors with their previews of the 6″ Marvel Legends 2015 figures lineup. But for fans of the 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures, things weren’t quite as peachy-keen.
While character selection for the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series is definitely top-notch, the figures themselves that Hasbro has developed are likely to disappoint plenty of collectors…
Continue Reading →Harry Osborn is my favorite character in any iteration of Spider-Man, but I had my reservations about Dane DeHaan playing Harry Osborn in Amazing Spider-Man 2. As things turned out, Dane DeHaan’s performance as Harry Osborn was one of the brightest spots of that movie (not that that was all that difficult). And while I gagged at some of the illogical and irredeemable actions Harry perpetrated as the Green Goblin, I’ve been wanting a Hasbro action figure of him anyway. And in July 2014, the first Hasbro Amazing Spider-Man 2 Green Goblin figure will arrive!
Continue Reading →Hasbro did a superb job this year of keeping their SDCC 2014 Marvel Legends exclusive set of 6″ figures under wraps until they were ready to grandly unveil it today. Their 3.75″ Marvel Infinite Series SDCC 2014 exclusive set…? Not so much. We’d seen some photos leak from Asia over the last few weeks, and I instantly guessed that we would be getting a Thanos-themed Marvel Universe exclusive set. And, as expected, that’s exactly what we’re getting–but it’s also coming with a really cool wearable, foam Infinity Gauntle! It’s the SDCC 2014 Marvel Infinity Gauntlet figures set!
Continue Reading →After getting off to an extremely slow start (as in “I’ve yet to even see one figure in a physical retail store”), Hasbro is apparently getting ready to give a major push to their 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures line, the 2014 Marvel Universe successor. Just this past week we got our first glimpse of Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3, and now Marvel Infinite Series Wave 4 is already announced and up for pre-order! Don’t get too excited, though. Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series Wave 4 sounds pretty uninspired–to say the least…
Continue Reading →A couple weeks back Hasbro let retailers know the contents of this summer’s Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 assortment so that stores could start taking Marvel Infinite Series 3 figure pre-orders. But while we knew what characters made up the series, we had to give our best guesses as to what the actual figures were going to look like as far as era, costume, and so forth. But now we wait no longer! Hasbro has released hi-res, packaged images of all six figures in Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3, including Valkyrie, Ant Man, Cyclops and more!
Continue Reading →It’s been a tad slow around here lately, but today we’ve got some news to report from the most bizarre of places: a Chinese auction site! Yes, Taobao, the much-beloved auction site preferred by many sellers with stolen factory products, has uncovered two previously-unannounced possible SDCC 2014 exclusive Hasbro Marvel Universe 2014 Marvel Infinite Series figures: Starfox and Nebula! If your first reaction to those names is “Wait… who?”, read on…
Continue Reading →Even though many collectors have yet to see a single Marvel Infinite Series 1 figure on shelves (not one of my local stores have even stocked them yet), but Hasbro is going full steam ahead with the Marvel Universe 2014 successor line of figures! Hasbro gave us a glimpse at Marvel Infinite Series 3 figures at the 2014 Toy Fair in February, but today Hasbro allowed pre-orders for Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 to open, revealing fantastic case ratios and some unreleased figures we thought might be lost forever…
Continue Reading →If you’re like me and try to collect at least one of every Marvel movie character in the Hasbro Marvel Universe 4″ figure scale, Hasbro has made deciding which Amazing Spider-Man 2 Electro figure to buy very, very simple: they only made one. Amidst a sea of wacky, crazy Spider-Man variations (Web Wing Spider-Man?!), there’s the Hasbro Amazing Spider-Man 2 Power Charged Electro figure. If you want every movie character released, you’ll need this 4″ Electro figure. But once you have him, well… you might wish you didn’t…
