Of all the new companies that began producing Marvel collectibles in 2015, the one that made the single most divisive line is likely ThreeA Toys. While 3A Toys is beloved for its original creations, the radically redesigned 3A Marvel sixth scale figures have been met with a mixture of praise and disdain from Marvel fans.

But criticism or no, after weeks of teases, their next re-imagined Marvel character is on the way: the ThreeA Toys Ultron figures have now been fully revealed!

Way back in October 2014, LEGO shocked the Marvel collecting world with a totally random, out-of-left-field release of an Amazing Spider-Man 2 Electro minifigure polybag at the LEGO KidsFest event. Marvel collectors have been waiting with bated breath for details on when they could acquire the ASM2 Electro figure ever since. And at long last, more than half a year later, we know–the 5002125 Electro figure has now been released in stores!

Not only is 2015 on track to be the biggest year ever for long-running toy lines like Marvel Legends, Funko Marvel POP Vinyls, and Hot Toys Marvel figures, but it’s also the year that a slew of new lines are kicking off spotlighting iconic Marvel characters. One of those lines is the Square-Enix Play Arts Kai Marvel Variant line, which gives us unique redesigns of beloved Marvel superheroes. The line kicked off with (yet another) Iron Man in the winter, and now its moved on to its second release: the Play Arts Kai Spider-Man figure is now available for order!

Over my years of attending cons, I’ve passed people wearing shirts with the slogan “Anime: Crack is Cheaper” dozens of times. Well, I think that motto could be modified a bit into a very appropriate “Collecting Vinyl Figures: Crack is Cheaper”. I have a serious vinyl figure addiction that extends to many lines–but not the Medicom Marvel Retro Sofubi line. At least, not until now–the Retro Rocket Raccoon & Hulk Sofubi figures are now up for order!

Disney has virtually eliminated all trading at the Disney Parks, and the number of series and limited-edition sets coming out this year is a meager fraction of what we’ve seen in past years. Ever since toy manufacturers began revealing the lineups for their Avengers: Age of Ultron toys, collectors have been complaining about the lack of Scarlet Witch, Vision and Quicksilver figures. We’re getting LEGO and Minimates versions of all three, as well as comics-based Marvel Legends Vision and Scarlet Witch figures. Quicksilver has really gotten the bum’s rush, however. But now you can rejoice, collectors–because Hasbro has finally released the Quicksilver action figure we’ve all been waiting for: the Titan Hero Quicksilver figure has now been released!
