I am not a gamblin’ man, so I was not altogether thrilled when I had to roll the dice and hope for the best when Amazon created a listing for a new movie Homecoming Spider-Man Marvel Legends figure with an incorrect old stock photo on Friday. Thankfully, not only did my hunch that this was a new figure pay off–it turned out that instead of the old Amazing Spider-Man 2 figure incorrectly pictured, it was actually my most-wanted figure in the wave: the 6″ Marvel Legends Homemade Suit Spider-Man figure!

Of the many Funko Marvel Collector Corps boxes that have shipped since the advent of the series, the single most divisive box among subscribers was the MCC Guardians of the Galaxy box that shipped at the end of 2015. Personally, I loved the scarf and ornaments in that box–but not everyone shared my sentiments. But while that box wasn’t a unanimous hit, I think the latest one might be! At SDCC 2016, Hasbro challenged the boundaries of what many collectors believed it was possible for a toy company to release at mass retail with one action figure announcement: Disco Dazzler. While most people thought that if we ever got a Dazzler figure, it would be some sort of exclusive, that perception was shattered when she was placed in the mass market X-Men Warlock Series. If there’s one character I never expected to see make a comeback in the modern universe, it’s the alternate future version of Wolverine: Old Man Logan. But come back Logan has, and his place in the pantheon of beloved Marvel characters is now complete as far as Hasbro is concerned, because Old Man Logan has earned himself his first-ever 6″ Marvel Legends figure! This whole wave isn’t expected to hit most retailers for another month, but Target got an early shipment and you can also snag Marvel Legends Old Man Logan for about 25 bucks on ebay. If you can get one early, I recommend it–this is one of my favorite Wolverine figures ever…
