Remember that Hot Toys Stealth Iron Man sixth scale figure that retailed for $340 and sold out in just a few hours earlier this year…? Well, Hot Toys themselves sure do, and now they’re getting back on-board the Iron Man Stealth Edition train and hoping to cash in again with one of their weirdest items ever: the exclusive Stealth Iron Man Mark 43 Cosbaby with 1/6 Scale T-Shirt is now available for order!
But yes, your eyes do no deceive you: the limited exclusive item that will come packed with this latest Avengers Age of Ultron Iron Man Mark XLIII Cosbaby is actually a little 1:6 T-Shirt with a Cosbaby Iron Man graphic on it.
I initially thought that the shirt was sized for an actual human being to wear, but that is not the case with this item–it’s really meant as a sort of crossover with the Marvel Movie Masterpiece Series sixth scale figures.
No, really–now you can fulfill your dreams of dressing up your Hot Toys Captain America 12″ figure in a chibi-Iron Man shirt.
*crickets*
*ACHEM* Now then, let’s talk about the item that the bizarro sixth scale T-Shirt is actually accompanying: the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark XLIII Stealth Mode Version Cosbaby figure.
At $44.00 (yes, that’s $44 even–no pennies), this Stealth Mark 43 Cosbaby Iron Man is one of the cheapest exclusive Hot Toys figures ever released. That said, it still costs nearly triple the amount of a regular Cosbaby Avengers figure, which seems a bit steep, considering that this is a 100% repaint with a little cloth shirt with an Iron Man graphic on it. Does the limited exclusive nature of this piece make it worth 44 bucks? That’s for you to decide, Cosbaby fans.
Honestly, this is a cute enough little limited edition combo pack, but the Cosbaby style just isn’t for me–and expanded-universe repaints of Cosbabies even less so. I’m severely tempted to buy this set for the shirt to stick on a 12″ Tony Stark figure for fun anyway, though…
The Hot Toys Stealth Mode Iron Man Mark XLIII Cosbaby figure is now available for order, and is scheduled to be released in Q3/Q4 2015. Seeing as how there’s only one month left in Q3 2015, this figure must be basically done with production and ready to fly on out of the factory (if it hasn’t already), so don’t be surprised to see this little guy and his cutesy shirt arriving in the United States early this fall.
What do you think of the Cosbaby Stealth Iron Man Mark 43 figure (and pack-in shirt!), Marvel collectors? Is there room in your Hot Toys collection for this sort of limited, chibi-styled Iron Man package, or does a repainted Iron Man figure and a 1/6th scale T-Shirt fail to impress you enough to earn your $44?
Waste of money.
I’m a little lost is this the exclusive items that came with the Stealth Armor Ironman from the compay Chocolate only out of HK ? Just asking .
