While they happen several times a year these days and we’ve all become acclimated to them, there was a time when Walgreens Exclusives were a new and revolutionary thing. The first one ever was the Marvel Legends Agent Venom that was confirmed almost half a decade ago now exactly, and as part of the 80th Anniversary Series, that legendary figure is getting a sequel: the Exclusive Marvel Legends Anti-Venom figure in white costume is now up for order!
Flash Thompson’s death is perhaps the most memorable part of Dan Slott’s climactic “Go Down Swinging” story arc in “Amazing Spider-Man”, and now we can finally recreate it in action figure form with this new exclusive to complement the existing Red Goblin and modern Symbiote Spider-Man figures!
As has been the case with pretty much all of the “Fan Channel” exclusives from the 80th Anniversary Series, Hasbro only sent out a sole official photo of the Agent Anti-Venom Marvel Legends figure. But seeing as how he’s a repaint of the 2014 Agent Venom Legends figure, I think we can all reasonably surmise exactly what this figure is going to look like and his posing potential.
This is a figure that I think could have performed just fine in any Spider-Man Legends series, so I’m not sure why he’s been placed as a shared retailer exclusive, but I’m happy to have him nonetheless. Rest easy, Flash Thompson!
The Marvel Legends Agent Anti-Venom figure is now up for order, and is scheduled for release in October/November 2019. Given this character’s popularity and past toy performance, I’d reserve one of these early if you want to be absolutely sure to get one. This is one of the exclusives I think has among the best chances of actually selling out before shipping.
Opinions on ML Agent Anti-Venom, Marvel collectors? Are you interested in this figure of Flash Thompson’s final battle form, or is it going to take more than a repaint if a toy from five years ago to claim your attention?
I never got the first one so sure I am gonna get this po’d.
Fun exclusive, but I think I’ll pass on this one. I’m pretty good with the original Agent Venom figure. If this came with a Flash head though, I’d definitely get it.
Comic Flash is dead… MCU Flash still alive… Why Marvel? Why?
Will this get a review when it’s released, or is it not worth it since it’s just a repaint?
