Remember when Hasbro released the terrific Marvel Legends Civil War Spider-Man figure in a three-pack with slight repaints of Iron Man and Captain America and everyone (hyperbole) called foul? Well, those collectors who disliked that three-pack are going to hate this new Disney Store exclusive Marvel Legends Civil War Four-Pack that has appeared online, which contains four repackaged figures (including Falcon and War Machine!) and one new accessory…

Marvel Legends Civil War Figures 4-Pack Disney Store Exclusive

Mario Cutland wrote in to me on Tuesday about this Marvel Legends four-pack showing up on eBay and I promptly forgot about it. Wednesday came and went, and the same thing happened. But it seems that the third time is the charm–Thanks, Mario!

Earlier this week, out of the blue and completely unexpectedly, an unannounced (and “unreleased”) Hasbro Captain America Civil War Marvel Legends 4-Pack of six-inch figures was posted for sale online!

This four-pack contains four Marvel Legends Civil War figures, all of which repacks are figures being released this year: Captain America, Iron Man Mark 46, War Machine Mark III and Falcon.

Disney Store Exclusive Logo on Marvel Legends 4-PackThe seller has a 100% feedback score and has been on eBay for years, so the set certainly seems legit (and definitely looks it as well), although the New Jersey seller doesn’t indicate how they got their hands on an “unreleased” Disney Store exclusive figure set like this.

We saw a similar thing happen with a Marvel Legends Avengers exclusive set last year, which ended up ultimately only being available as a European Disney Store exclusive set. As the U.S. Disney Stores have never had a Marvel Legends multipack exclusive to date, I suspect that this will be another set that is Europe only.

Disney Store Exclusive Marvel Legends War Machine FigureThe good news is that this set includes two store exclusive figures from other chains in it: the Target Exclusive War Machine Mark III (which is hitting stores in a two-pack with Disco Iron Man this week) and the Walmart Exclusive Falcon (which should hit Walmarts any time now).

I like seeing an alternative way to obtain those characters, even if this boxed set does end up being available only internationally.

In addition, this set includes a totally new accessory: an interchangeable backpack for Falcon that will allow him to pose with his wings down neutrally (not forced up like the regular release)!

This is likely only being done to facilitate Falcon fitting into the packaging here, but regardless it’s something new that will appeal to many fans. It’s not enough to make me buy this set, but it is neat.

Marvel Legends Civil War Figures 4-Pack Disney Store ExclusiveThe bad news is that the seller is charging $175 per set for these four-packs, and is almost totally sold out of them already as of writing. I’d expect that his stock will be fully exhausted by the end of the week, so if you can’t live without this (overpriced, if you ask me) multipack, now may be the time to grab one.

Thoughts on this unexpected Civil War Marvel Legends Disney Store exclusive four-pack, Marvel collectors? Would you buy this pack just to get the new backpack for Civil War Falcon at MSRP, or is four repackaged figures and one new accessory a big no-no to your sensibilities?

  1. Looking at that close up photo, I’m 95% sure that that’s the exact same Falcon.
    His backpack is crammed in there next to him and we can clearly see his wings just crammed in the packaging like that and sticking up behind him….

  2. He’s in the marvel legends group on Facebook and hasn’t said to anyone where he got them. Speculation is that this is the UK Disney store exclusive. Much like the avengers set was. And got these and won’t be seeing a release in US stores.

  3. There…there is no new wing pack. And Dabid, since we are getting so many rereleased and slight variants for civil war (3 caps, 3 iron man, 2 falcon and 2 war machine), do you think maybe they are getting funds for black widow, hawkeye, and vision, which we can see by the end of the year? Hawkeye and black widow would need almost all new molds, vision 100% new. I’m also tired of seeing such innacurate movie caps. His torso, arms, thighs, and hands need updates. It’s his movie! Why can’t he get new parts? And a new shield! His is way too big!

    • I strongly, strongly doubt Hasbro has new movie Black Widow, Hawkeye and Vision figures coming anytime in 2016-2017. 2018 is a safe bet. I’m sure we’ll get a comics-based Crossbones soon, however.

      • I think we will definitely finish off the remaining Avengers with Infinity War. However, my dream to accompany Civil War would be a 4-pack similar to what we got with AOU last year, containing Widow, Hawkeye, Vision and a scaled-down BAF Ant-Man, which was, in my opinion, the best movie Ant-Man figure to date.

      • I’m hoping for 2018 but depending on how many other heroes in Infinity War, I could see them maybe getting the shaft.

      • We DESPERATELY need a new Crossbones and I personally think his MCU costume was super bad ass so an MCU Crossbones is pretty much my #1 most wanted legend at this point. It was a crying shame he wasn’t in the Abomb wave…BRING ON THE BAD GUYS!!!

  4. Apologize if this has already been covered, but there’s also a new TRU exclusive Legends 3-pack that I saw for the first time yesterday. A repainted Vision, Falcon as Captain America, and female Hawkeye. They just keep coming.

  5. Whatever happened to the Marvel Legends comic style 3-pack with Sam Wilson Cap, Kate Bishop Hawkeye, and the Vision?

    • It’s officially in stores this week in the U.S. I’m gonna track one down for photos tonight. 🙂
