Collectors have been calling out for Diamond Select Toys to make a movie Thanos action figure since long before Avengers Infinity War ever came out—and now, they’ve got their wish: Disney Store Exclusive Marvel Select Thanos, Captain Marvel and Hulk figures are now up for order!

Do these have any advantages over the Hasbro Marvel Legends versions? Let’s take a look…
Okay, so let’s be honest here: this trio of Marvel Select Disney Store Exclusives is NOT a well-kept secret. Photos of the Endgame Thanos Select in particular crept out a couple months ago—followed by the other two—and ever since it’s been a question of when, not if, these would be available domestically.
But the wait is now over, and all three figures are up for order to kick off this week! And hey, there’s even a tiered sale going on at Shop Disney today (spend a certain amount of money and get a certain amount of moolah off)! Sounds good, right? But we’d better have a peek at the figures first…
First up, it’s the grand poobah of the series and quite possibly the most big-name Disney Store exclusive ever: Avengers Endgame Marvel Select Thanos in armor. This is a huge name headliner of a figure, so it’s really a bit shocking to see it relegated to a limited store exclusive.
As the Marvel Legends Armored Thanos was a Build-A-Figure, this is basically the only collector-level 6” scale version of Armored Thanos released by any company domestically. The paint deco and sculpting details surpass those of Hasbro’s versions, but the proportions of the legs and double-edged sword throw me off a bit.
I think the Marvel Legends Endgame Thanos has been “good enough” on my shelf, but this DST iteration looks like enough of an improvement to earn my upgrade dollars, even if it isn’t quite up to the level of the $100 SH Figuarts Thanos.
Meanwhile, a Disney Store Exclusive Endgame Hulk is also available today, handily beating the non-exclusive version to the market! There are stark differences between this Hulk and the retail version, including totally different paint deco on the suit, no Nano Infinity Gauntlet for the Disney Store version, and what appear to be two different head sculpts.
I’m a little torn on this, as I much prefer the costume detailing the way it’s painted for the Disney exclusive, but the lack of Nano Gauntlet is a huge loss. I’m going to have to deliberate on which of the two versions I want, as I only want one or the other. Either way, I need one, though, since Hasbro skipped this outfit entirely.
Finally, we’ve got the Disney Exclusive Captain Marvel Select figure—in the iconic red and blue costume that astonished everyone by not being the retail version!
The green and black costumed Starforce Captain Marvel didn’t exactly seem to set the collecting world on fire with its sales, and it seems very likely that that’s just not the iteration that collectors wanted—this red and blue version is. Disney Store getting it for themselves is definitely a big coup for them, in my opinion.
I still think that the Diamond Select Toys Goose the Cat figure looks pretty awful, but the Carol Danvers figure itself is much better in-person than it looked online. With all of the extra effects pieces packed-in and the costume fans actually wanted in the first place, I think this’ll be a real hit sales-wise.
The Disney Exclusive Marvel Select Thanos, Hulk and Captain Marvel figures are all up for order online now, and will presumably be hitting brick and mortar Disney Stores in the near future. If last year’s comics-based version of the Mad Titan is any indicator, Thanos seems destined to sell through very quickly. It’ll be interesting to see how Bruce and Carol fare—especially being launched at the busiest shopping time of the year.
What do you think of what I expect to be the final Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select figures released this year? Are any (or all) of the members of this trio on your shopping list, or are you satisfied with the versions of these MCU characters you have from Hasbro or other companies?
WTF! Thanos already sold out! This is insane!
Are you sure? I can still add him to my bag?
Still sold out on the store. I got one at a local brick and mortar Disney store in a Mall. They put one aside for me yesterday and when I went to pick it up they still have 4-5 of them out.
Its a nice figure. He’s taller than the other 2 Marvel Select Thanos.
