If there’s one Marvel Cinematic Universe property that merchandisers were more skeptical of this year than Ant-Man, it’s Agent Carter. Even so, the Agent Carter series has earned a strong base of devoted fans and been renewed for a second season. As such, I was wondering when–or if–any toy company would get around to making an Agent Carter toy, and now we have our non-surprising answer: the Funko Agent Carter POP Vinyls figure is now up for order!

First she fought for women’s rights and equality in the 1940’s, and now she’s doing her share to increase the ratio of female-to-male Funko Marvel POP Vinyls: the Agent Carter Funko POP Vinyls figure has now appeared! While I didn’t like the show quite as much as Agents of SHIELD, my wife loved it, and is going to go absolutely gaga when she sees this just-revealed show-accurate Agent Peggy Carter figure.

Some of you know didn’t watch Agent Carter ardently–or who can’t recall every detail of the show–are probably wondering what the spherical object in the Funko POP! Vinyl Agent Carter figure’s hand is. No, it’s not an orb with an Infinity Stone in it or a grenade–it’s the “Blitzkrieg Button”, a weapon which Howard Stark claimed could cause an instant city-wide blackout if opened.

Of course, Howard Stark was lying (because, you know–Starks are jerks), and Peggy Carter opens the Blitzkrieg Button and discovers that it is actually a container that holds the final vial of Steve Rogers’ blood. The open sphere that the Funko Peggy Carter figure is holding is demonstrative of this, which is a cool easter egg for those who know Carter from her TV Series and not just her appearances in the Marvel movies.

With Agent Carter topped with her awesome red fedora, I can see a lot of Carmen Sandiego fans (wait, do those still exist?) purchasing this figure as a base to make a Funko Carmen Sandiego POP Vinyl. The Funko Peggy Carter figure is also wearing her rockin’ blue dress suit, which has become a staple of the convention scene in the United States this year.

As of now, there is exactly zero release information available for the Funko POP Agent Carter vinyl figure in the United States. That said, the figure uses a 100% unique mold, which means that the chances of this figure being any kind of exclusive and not a mass release item are slim to none– except if Peggy Carter ends up being a Funko Marvel Collector Corps exclusive item (which I do not expect, but anything is possible).

I’ll post an update here and to the Marvel Toy News Facebook Page once the Agent Carter Funko POP Vinyls figure goes up for order. We usually get glam shots like these within 2-3 months of a figure’s release, so I’d anticipate an August/September release window for Peggy.
