Funko put together a reasonably extensive lineup of Black Panther POP Vinyls Figures to coincide with the movie’s launch window—but with the Black Panther movie now firmly entrenched as the third highest-grossing movie of all-time domestically, they must have figured there was room for a bit of expansion! And so, three more fan favorites are on the way this summer: Funko M’Baku, Killmonger with Tattoos and Ulysses Klaue POPs are now up for Order!

While there were plenty of signs that the Black Panther movie was going to be a big hit, I’m not sure that anyone was expecting just how big of a blockbuster it was going to be. And so, even though Funko put out a decent-sized wave of POP Vinyls, it looks like the market is still hungry for more characters.

So what does Funko have on the menu for all us Black Panther fanboys? Let’s take a look…

The three new figures added to the Black Panther Movie POP Vinyls series are:

• M’Baku
• Ulysses Klaue (AKA Klaw)
• Erik Killmonger with Scars

As far as selections Funko could have made for a trio of additions to the line, these are pretty top-rate. M’Baku has the funniest line in the movie and was a surprise favorite with audiences, while Klaue (Andy Serkis) is a significant character who also appears in Avengers Age of Ultron.

While some fans may groan about another variant of Killmonger, there’s no denying his popularity as one of the most popular MCU villains ever. This is a unique variant of him that I expect to sell sensationally (even if Killmonger being covered in scars is really gross).

With the Black Panther movie being a bit of a cultural phenomenon, I think there’s room for some variants of previously-released characters like Okoye, Shuri and Nakia in different costumes to be released as well–not to mention characters that haven’t gotten the spotlight yet such as Queen Ramonda, W’Kabi (POP Rides on a Rhino, anyone?), and Bilbo Baggins (AKA Everett Ross AKA Martin Freeman).

Will the line live long enough to see characters like those appear and basically complete the main case of the movie? We’ll have to wait and see.

The Funko POP M’Baku, Killmonger with scars and Klaue figures are now up for order, and are scheduled to be released in August/September 2018. No word yet on if there will be any exclusive variants of these figures, but with SDCC 2018 just a few months away, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Black Panther exclusive or two still announced!
