The Funko Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls lineup was wildly successful beyond Funko’s expectations, and that’s why Funko is expanding the line in 2015 with a quintet of villainous Guardians of the Galaxy Funko POP Vinyls to combat the team! Coming in March 2015: Funko Yondu, Nebula, Ronan, the Collector–and a super-sized 6″ Funko Thanos POP! Vinyl figure are now up for order!
Earlier in the fall, Funko’s fearless leader, Brian, let it slip that the Funko Guardians of the Galaxy figures line was a bit hit, and that we’d be seeing a Funko Guardians of the Galaxy Series 2 arrive in 2015. I’m “all-in” for Guardians of the Galaxy, so I’ve been anxiously awaiting official images of the five villains being added to the lineup. And after months of waiting, all of the major villains (and anti-hero Yondu) have now been revealed! I had been holding out hope that we might see a Funko Cosmo the Russian Space Dog turn up (despite never being announced for the line), but it appears that those hopes were in vain. Oh well–there’s always next year, right? (And I guess in this case, I mean “2016” for next year.) This series will include the very first mass-market figures of movie Thanos and the Collector from the Guardians of the Galaxy film. Yondu will appear as part of the Disney Infinity line, and was previously included in the Guardians of the Galaxy Minimates series.
Meanwhile, Nebula had her own LEGO minifigure and Ronan has had several figures produced (though no high-quality Marvel Legends or Hot Toys Ronan).
Funko is really doing right by collectors with this wave–how incredible would we all think it was if Hasbro surprised us with this group of characters for a Marvel Legends 2015 Guardians of the Galaxy 6″ figures series at New York Toy Fair 2015 (not gonna happen, sorry)?

Yes are you kidding of course I’m buying these
I don’t think Yondu or The Collector should really be categorized as villains. Having said that, I hope they release Yondu in time for me to get Michael Rooker to autograph him at Planet Comic Con in mid March.
