News hit the street on Thanksgiving Day last week that Hot Toys was bringing back the highly-desirable Hot Toys Hulk figure in a special set with the all-new Hot Toys Bruce Banner sixth scale figure. We had to wait a week to get confirmation that this duo would be making their way to the United States, but the long-awaited Bruce Banner Hot Toys figure (and The Other Guy!) are now up for pre-order! Yep, this is really gonna tee off some of the people who paid $400+ for just the Hulk Hot Toys figure on the secondary market…

Avengers fans have been demanding a Mark Ruffalo Bruce Banner Hot Toys figure since the character’s mainstream popularity skyrocketed with the release of the Avengers movie last year, and in Q3 2014 the Hot Toys Bruce Banner 1/6 figure will finally become a reality! Bruce Banner isn’t visually the most compelling character in the world, but he makes up for it with such exciting accessories as his dress clothes, a watch, and even a pair of glasses!

To be fair, the Avengers Hot Toys Banner figure does include the infamous Chitauri scepter, so you can recreate the intense scene of Mark Ruffalo freaking out from the movie. Even so, I was really sort of looking forward to the Bruce Banner Hot Toys figure, but the actor likeness really doesn’t look all that spot-on to me this time. Disappointing.

And not only will a Hot Toys Banner be available individually, but Sideshow Collectibles will also be exclusively getting a two-pack of Bruce Banner and the previously-released Hot Toys Hulk sixth scale figure!

This Hulk reissue–geez, Hot Toys. I don’t know that I really agree with straight reissuing the same Hulk as was released earlier this year, especially with a cool new Chitauri base and some extra accessories for Hulk to bash with. Seems a bit like a slap in the face to me to the people who paid astronomical aftermarket prices after the Hot Toys Hulk pre-orders sold out last spring. Obviously the demand for a new Hot Toys Hulk is there, but Hot Toys could have at least changed this one up a bit.

The Hot Toys Bruce Banner 1/6th scale figure is now available for pre-order (both with and without the Hot Toys Hulk), with an expected release in the second half of 2014. With the solicitations for the Hot Toys Chitauri and Bruce Banner figures, we’ve likely come to the end of the Avengers Hot Toys 1/6 line (at least for the first movie). I wouldn’t mind a Hot Toys Maria Hill figure, but she’s not looking terribly likely right now.
