When Hot Toys first debuted their prototype of the Thor Ragnarok Hot Toys Loki sixth scale figure at San Diego Comic Con 2017, collectors weren’t exactly delighted to see Loki in the unfamiliar Sakaar blue costume. But fear not, Hot Toys fanatics—Hot Toys has heard the masses and made some changes! Eight months after first being shown, the Hot Toys Thor Ragnarok Loki sixth scale figure is now up for order—and he’s dressed in iconic green with horned helmet!

When the Thor Ragnarok movie came and went without any word of solicitation from Hot Toys regarding the blue Loki figure that they’d shown off months earlier, many fans thought that the figure might have been scrapped altogether.

But some characters are just too popular to be ignored, and so, for the first time in years, we’re getting a figure of Loki wearing his green costume from the end of Thor Ragnarok and the beginning of Avengers Infinity War!

A lot of collectors were unhappy with the head sculpt on the Thor The Dark World Loki figure, so Hot Toys is back with an all-new Tom Hiddleston head for this figure. I really love the original Avengers Loki portrait, but I think this new version is at least at the level of that one—and from certain angles, even looks a little better.

The MSRP on this 12″ figure is $243 in the US, which is a reasonable price. I don’t think it’s a great price and I don’t think it’s a bad price–just reasonable and middle-of-the-road given today’s market.

I appreciate the extra time and development Hot Toys did to bring us this version of Loki instead of the blue Sakaar version, and hey–Valkyrie’s even present in the official photos! Could a pre-order for Valyrie still be in the cards as well?

The famous Loki gold horned helmet is included with the figure and is wearable with the head sculpt.

In addition, we’re getting seven interchangeable hands, two daggers with sheaths, the obligatory figure base display stand, the Tesseract (which hasn’t been included with any Hot Toys figure since the first Nick Fury!), and the very cool translucent orange Surtur skull (for those who didn’t get Roadworn Thor and would still like a Surtur skull).

The Thor Ragnarok Loki Hot Toys figure is now up for order, and is scheduled for release in Q2 2019. That’s a LONG wait for a character from a 2017 movie, but with Loki wearing the same costume in at least part of Infinity War, I think awareness and demand for this figure will remain high for quite a while. I’m a Tom Hiddleston fanboy, so I’ll happily be completing my Hot Toys Hiddleston trio with this Loki myself.
