As soon as the first teaser trailer for the Spider-Man Far From Home movie revealed that a Noir-like Stealth Suit would appear in the film, fans immediately started asking for merch of the costume. Funko and Hasbro played their cards at Toy Fair, and now Hot Toys is ready to service high-end collectors: the Hot Toys Stealth Suit Spider-Man 1/6 figure (including Deluxe Version with Molten Man!) is now up for order!
Hot Toys didn’t release specs on his dimensions, but this Molten Man figure base looks humongous. Seriously, it’s almost the size of the 11” Stealth Spider-Man figure itself!
Complete with two LED lighting modes—pulsing and perpetually on—this is the sort of accessory we haven’t seen from Hot Toys in years! It gives me serious flashbacks to the Spider-Man 3 Sandman (as much as I try to forget that third movie happened)!
The Spider-Man Stealth Suit Figure itself looks wonderfully screen-accurate, and this is the first toy of the figure that’s really caught my attention.
There’s two specific official photos that really made me smile and clinched my purchase of this Spidey. First is the upside-down hanging Stealth Suit Spider-Man, which makes the costume look more (dare I say it?) “cute” than any of the other pics. I can really feel a lot of personality emanating from this shot.
Secondly, I love this photo showing the mask lens/Spider-Man eyes raised to show a bit of the masked Peter Parker portrait. Hot Toys has got Tom Holland down-pat, and you can clearly see the resemblance once part of his face is exposed.
Beyond the Deluxe Version Molten Man base (designed by Studio HIVE), there’s not a ton of accessories included, but we do get 10 interchangeable hands, an open spider web effect, six web lines and three pairs of eyes. Everything Spidey needs to be, well… Spider-Man.
For those who aren’t into the deluxe Molten Man base, you’re not forced to buy it. In fact, you can save 70 bucks by not buying it and just opting for the standard edition (which includes everything the deluxe comes with except the base)!
Even so, while I don’t always feel like I need to pay extra for a Hot Toys Deluxe Version, but in this instance I feel like I do, personally. The light-up Molten Man base has a huge amount of presence and is the only 1/6 representation of the character we’re ever likely to see. For me, the level this will enhance the display makes it well worth the cost.
The Hot Toys Spider-Man Far From Home Stealth Suit Deluxe and Regular Version Figures are now up for order, and are scheduled for release in late summer 2020. Looking at the prices that the Homecoming Home-Made Suit is selling for on the aftermarket, I think it might be wise to make sure to grab this popular variant before it has a chance a chance to sell out and escalate on the aftermarket.
Are you impressed with Hot Toys’ first all-new Spider-Man Far From Home figure, Marvel collectors? Do you think the fancy Molten Man Deluxe Edition is worth the extra 70 bucks, or is the standard version more your style? And are you willing to reserve this figure as-is, or are you waiting to see how significant this costume actually is in the movie?
