LEGO Marvel Carnage’s SHIELD Sky Attack 76036! Toy Fair 2015!

Though it’s going to take me several more weeks to complete my coverage of each and every new LEGO Summer 2015 set shown at New York Toy Fair 2015 over on my LEGO site, there’s just one more LEGO Marvel set to discuss here on Marvel Toy News! It may be a small and cheap entry in the line, but LEGO Carnage’s SHIELD Sky Attack 76036 is going to be a blockbuster value-priced set!

LEGO Carnage's SHIELD Sky Attack 76036 Box

Since LEGO reacquires the license to make Marvel construction sets, the LEGO Marvel theme has really ignited and become one of the most popular and best-selling licensed LEGO themes. As a result, we’re getting a multitude of characters that I never expected to own LEGO minifigures of–and that trend will continue this summer with the 76036 Carnage’s SHIELD Sky Attack set!

Economically-priced at just $12.99, the LEGO Marvel Carnage’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Sky Attack set will include three minifigures and a small SHIELD aerial vehicle.

LEGO Marvel Summer 2015 Sets Carnage's SHIELD Sky AttackThe minifigures are the main attraction in almost every LEGO Marvel set, and the ones included here are definitely goodies. For the army-builders, a LEGO SHIELD Agent minifigure is included with the set. This is the cheapest set to ever include a SHIELD Agent figure, so this ought to be popular with collectors forming SHIELD squads.

LEGO Miles Moral Ultimate Spider-Man Minifigure LEGO 76036

Far more interesting to many, however, will be the all-new LEGO Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man minifigure and the LEGO Carnage minifigure in this set!

Miles has risen to popularity and is appearing in the Ultimate Spider-Man Web Warriors cartoon, so seeing him represented in LEGO form is no shocker.

LEGO Carnage Minifigure Toy Fair 2015But the first LEGO Carnage minifigure–! Wow, I just can’t get over a psychopathic, serial-killing mass murderer LEGO minifigure. While we got a LEGO Venom minifigure a few years back, Carnage feels a whole lot darker and more surprising to get in this form.

The Carnage figure will include a symbiote tendril weapon that he can hold, as well a back attachment of more tendrils (to help him out while he’s butchering all the LEGO Marvel heroes on your shelf).

76036 LEGO SHIELD Jet Flying VehicleThe SHIELD jet includes with this set is actually a decent-looking mini build–and I do really like strong stud-shooting action feature that LEGO has implemented over the past year. Even so, this vehicle is clearly just here to fulfill a licensing requirement, and probably won’t be the reason that many buyers choose to pick up LEGO 76036.

LEGO 76036 Carnage's SHIELD Sky Attack Price and Release DateWhile 97 pieces for $12.99 doesn’t sound like much of a deal on paper, with LEGO Minifigures Series blind bags selling for $4 each and three figures included in this set (plus a vehicle), it doesn’t look like such a bad value at all.

I also went ahead and took a photo of the LEGO Carnage set surrounded by the other new LEGO Marvel 2015 sets in the 2015 Toy Fair LEGO booth, so that those not able to attend the event could get an idea of the scale of this year’s sets.

Seeing how tiny it is compared to the other offerings around it, it’s no wonder that Carnage’s SHIELD Sky Attack is the cheapest Marvel set this year. And man, is that new LEGO Quinjet ever huge!

New York Toy Fair 2015 LEGO Marvel Carnage's SHIELD Sky Attack SetThe 76036 LEGO Marvel Carnage’s SHIELD Sky Attack set will be released officially in August 2015 (meaning we’ll see the set leak into stores in July 2015). With its low price and desirable minifigs, I suspect this set will be hot at retail and tough to find for a while after its release, however.

How do you like the cheapest of the LEGO Marvel Summer 2015 sets, Marvel fans? Does the combination of long-requested minifigures in this set make it worth your future 13 dollars?
