As a Spider-Man loving teen in the 90s, few Spidey stories made me smile as much as the “The Legion of Losers” silliness in Spectacular Spider-Man #245-246. I never imagined any of those villains would get the mass retail action figure treatment, but it seems Hasbro had other ideas. Following in the footsteps of The Spot, the deluxe Marvel Legends Grizzly figure is now up for order—and he even comes with bank robbery accessories and a new and improved Ursa Major head!
It took half a decade, but it’s finally happening: Hasbro is kicking off 2026 with a release that offers fans both this niche supervillain as a toy for the only time ever—and also offers a second chance at the Ursa Major many collectors missed out on!
Obviously, this is a much lighter brown than the original version, but Hasbro is giving collectors a swappable Ursa Major head here nonetheless so that this can fill the Winter Guard hole in many collections.
And to sweeten the deal, Hasbro heard my loud complaints in my review of that Build-A-Figure and even integrated an articulated jaw into this new Ursa Major head. Wow, thanks, Hasbro!
While I imagine a majority of collectors may just use this release as a substitute Ursa Major, it’s a really excellent figure of The Grizzly as well when used for its primary intent! The Grizzly portrait is suitably aggro, and the generous spread of accessories really enhances what could have felt like a very bare (no pun intended) release.
Hasbro sagely included new grasping hands so that Grizzly can handle accessories and grab other figures, instead of just needing to be posed slashing mindlessly at foes. The option of these hands greatly expands what can be done with this guy dynamically.
The bag of money and gold bars are great add-ons to use with many lower-level villains. The visual of Grizzly scooping up a pile of gold bars and then running off with a bag full of riches is loads of fun.
I’m also tickled that Hasbro opted for a consumer-friendly MSRP of )39.99 for this guy, as i genuinely thought they’d just slap a $50 price-tag on him since this was originally a BAF and now includes many more accessories. $40 is a very solid price for a big figure with lots of extras, which is a main reason I think this figure will sell quite well as a limited Fan Channel exclusive.
Marvel Legends Grizzly is now available exclusively via online specialty stores and won’t be available at mass retailers like Target and Walmart. I can’t imagine Hasbro is ordering a ton of this particular character, so get him now if you’ve been pining for a Spidey Z-Lister or an improved Ursa Major.
How are you liking this new, Marvel collectors? Is this bear-y cool to you, or an un-bear-able release?

Love me some D-List Spidey villains, and Grizzly in particular is one of my faves. And including gold and a money bag as accessories is awesome. Definitely have to pick this up.
