Ever since the wave was premiered at the New York Toy Fair 2015 almost four months ago, collectors have been pining away for the Marvel Legends Avengers Hulkbuster Series of 6″ action figures. Prospective release dates for the United States have been ambiguous, and we weren’t even sure exactly what the U.S. case ratios for the set would be. But all of the questions have now been answered, and the Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 3 figures are now available for pre-order!

It looks like June and July 2015 are going to be the most expensive months out of the year for Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ figure collectors! Yesterday Amazon posted the pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Ant-Man Series (with Ultron Prime Build-A-Figure!), and now both of the other remaining known Marvel Legends 2015 figures assortments are available for order!

First up, we’ll talk about the big one–the series that fans have been anticipating since before it was even announced–the Avengers Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Iron Man Build-A-Figure Series.

While there have been some Marvel Legends Build-A-Figures this year that have only required collectors to purchase six–or even five–figures to complete, the Hulkbuster Marvel Legends figure is so huge that it will require all seven figures in the series to be purchased in order to get all the Hulkbuster pieces! The prospective case pack details that were circulating at the 2015 Toy Fair in NYC were that the Marvel Legends War Machine Mark II figure would be the sole double-packed figure in this assortment. This was corroborated by the Japanese case ratios that were revealed last month, but I figured there was still a chance for Hasbro to pull a fast one and double-pack Marvel Now Iron Man instead up until they solicited the actual United States cases. Thankfully, the long-awaited movie War Machine Marvel Legends figure is in fact the two-per-case figure in this assortment (although he’s still not accurate to Age of Ultron, as he has the pink ARC Reactor and eyes). The complete case rations for Avengers Marvel Legends Wave 3 are as follows:

• (1) Marvel NOW! Doctor Strange
• (1) Blizzard
• (1) Thundra
• (1) Marvel NOW! Vision

Based off of these case ratios and the current sales trends I’m seeing in stores, my best guesses as to the “hot” figures that are going to be most difficult to track down when this series actually hits retail are the Marvel Legends Vision and Doctor Strange figures. There’s a huge demand for articulated Vision action figures right now with zero currently on the market, so I can’t imagine he’ll gather much dust on the pegs.

Even so, I suspect that all of the figures in this set are going to be quite hard to find to some extent, simply because everybody is going to want to complete the movie Hulkbuster Marvel Legends figures. Characters that ordinarily might sit on the pegs (*cough* Thundra Blizzard *cough*) are going to sell far, far better than they otherwise would because of the Hulkbuster BAF. The Marvel Legends Avengers Series 3 figures are now available for pre-order, and should be arriving in July 2015 (late late June is possible, but highly unlikely). Amazon has not yet opened pre-orders for the series themselves (I’ll post an update here and to the Marvel Toy News Facebook Page once they do), but you can get complete sets and cases from BBTS and cases with free shipping from Entertainment Earth right now.

Now that all of the details of the Avengers Legends Infinite Series Hulkbuster Wave have been announced and pre-orders have been opened, what’s the good word, Marvel fans?
