Marvel Legends X-Men Infinite Series BOGO Pre-Order!

Well, here’s something I don’t get to say very often: Toys R Us actually has a great price for something today! Collectors who didn’t want to pay the very high prices for a set of the X-Men Marvel Legends Infinite Series case assortment shipping out to comic book and online stores via Diamond Previews have one other option: to purchase the figures direct from Toys R Us. And to the shock of everyone (or at least me), Toys R Us has now put the whole Marvel Legends X-Men Jubilee Build-A-Figure series up for order… with the best prices around and a BOGO offer!

Marvel Legends X-Men Infinite Series Pre-Order Toys R Us BOGOWhen I heard that the X-Men Marvel Legends Infinite Series set was going to be a shared exclusive between Toys R Us and Diamond Comics Previews, I groaned pretty obviously. Previews is known for setting very high pricing for their Hasbro action figures, and Toys R Us often charges prices that many would consider extortion (I’ve seen Toys R Us charge up to $29.99 for a single Marvel Legends 6″ action figure locally–no lie).

Buy Marvel X-Men Legends Magneto Stryfe Wolverine Action Figures

To my astonishment, Toys R Us actually has the X-Men Marvel Legends Jubilee Build-A-Figure series priced cheap: $14.99 per figure! That’s $5 less than the MSRP for Marvel Legends 2014 figures! Even better is the fact that Toys R Us currently has a BOGO 40% Off sale on all X-Men toys, so every other figure only ends up costing $8.99.

Considering the cheapest price I’ve seen any online store charging for a set of 5 X-Men Legends figures is $139.99, Toys R Us’ price of under $80 for 6 figures is downright amazing!!

X-Men Marvel Legends Storm Pre-Order Toys R UsThe Marvel X-Men Legends Infinite Series figures are all now available for pre-order over on the Toys R Us website. If you want these, order them like lightning–these will sell out fast. There’s a limit of three discounted figures per order, so if you want to order more than six total figures, you’ll need to pay full price for the additional figures or place a separate order.

Anyone besides me indulge themselves by blowing ~$80 on Marvel Legends X-Men figures via the Toys R Us website this morning?

Marvel Legends X-Men Infinite Series BOGO Pre-Order! — 18 Comments

  1. I got mine! I only ordered the four to get the Jubilee. If I want Wolverine, I’ll probably be able to find him warming pegs for a while after they are released. Oh and it seems TRU has removed the figures from their website as of about 10:40.

  2. So demoralizing to see this after the fact. I figured I wouldn’t get this set because they’d be overpriced and Storm would be impossible to find. And here is TRU practically giving them away this morning!

  3. I was able to place an order this morning too, but as someone on another forum pointed out, TRU has already removed the items from the site, and I would not be surprised if they canceled the pre-orders.

    • I give strong odds that they won’t cancel the orders. Toys R Us didn’t cancel the orders for the All-New X-Men Marvel Legends box set when that sold through on the first day the first time it was available, so just being pulled from the website doesn’t mean that the orders will be cancelled.

  4. Aw, bloop. Only figure I want is Magneto, but at 11:30 they had already removed them from the site. Guess I’ll be paying scalper prices on eBay.

  5. According to posts on several Marvel Legends forums, many who ordered these at the discounted price have had their orders placed on a “pending” status, or have had them cancelled outright 🙁

  6. Thanks for the tip. I jumped on and ordered all of them as soon as I saw your FB posting this morning. Just hope they don’t cancel the pre-order now.

  7. Well, thanks to the quick notice by the host of THIS SITE I was able to grab a set for myself and an extra Storm for a friend. I assume others who acted quickly got them too. TRU limited orders to five figures each, so maybe some scalpers scored, but I think some of us ordinary collectors got them too. Assuming TRU delivers of course. A sub would be a terrible idea. The DCUC sub from Mattel started out strong (less than $20 per figure, with some extra figs going for more because they were larger) but sucked at the end (almost $30 per figure because for some mysterious reason they could not ship a 4x8x10 box for less than $14???)

  8. “CURSES! FOILED AGAIN!” Soon as I am AFK, all hades breaks loose. Ironically,I think I was out@my local comic shops and toy stores when this happened!
Lol, this is too funny. Felicitations to all whom were victorious. This has befallen me twice now, perhaps 3rd time will be the charm, that Kage may also claim victory!

  9. all gone i guess
thanks to everyone for ordering 4 of each one, Now hurry to ebay and sell them at three times the price!

  10. I’ll try to get these asap and send the pics to Dabid to post here. From what I’ve been told these are all ready to go and packaged, just sitting in a warehouse in China somewhere.
