At last week’s C2E2 2014, Diamond Select Toys did a surprise reveal of their Marvel Select X-Men Days of Future Past Mystique figure to much fanfare. But while Mystique grabbed all of the headlines and glory, she wasn’t the only new item that DST debuted at C2E2. No, at the show Diamond Select unveiled yet another in a huge string of recents Marvel Minimates announcements–but this one’s a good one! Coming in September 2014–the Deadly Foes of Spider-Man Minimates set! But if you want the first Minimates Carnage in over a decade, there’ll only be one store to get it from…
While the Deadly Foes of Spider-Man Marvel Minimates set contains four characters that have all had previous releases in Marvel Minimates form, none of them are figures that are especially modern or cheap on the secondary market. In fact, you’d be very hard-pressed to find a Carnage Minimates figure for under 20 bucks by his lonesome on the aftermarket, making this $19.99-priced Minimates box set a real bargain!
The Marvel Minimates Deadly Foes of Spider-Man box set contains Marvel Minimates Doc Ock (Doctor Octopus), The Lizard, Carnage and Sandman figures. All of the figures have been at least somewhat tweaked and upgraded since their original releases, so they’re no straight reissues here (Diamond Select Toys doesn’t like to do that, thankfully).
This is definitely one of the best set of upgraded figures that Diamond Select Toys has ever done, and with so many options, it may even be worthwhile getting a second set!
The Minimates Deadly Foes of Spider-Man set is limited to 3,000 units produced, and considering how impressive the set is, I won’t be at all surprised if this set sells out before it arrives in-stock in September 2014.
The Deadly Foes of Spider-Man Marvel Minimates box set of figures is available exclusively from the online retailer, Luke’s Toy Store. I know this is probably a store many of you are unfamiliar with, but LukesToyStore.com is one of the very best sources for Marvel Minimates figures in the world. You can pre-order their exclusive Marvel Minimates Deadly Foes of Spider-Man set from Luke’s Toy Store with my full confidence and recommendation (and no, I am not sponsored or endorsed by Luke’s Toy Store in any way–I just like the place).
Minimates fans–will you be picking up this box set full of new-and-improved versions of some of Spidey’s greatest foes?
