Good figures come to those who wait, and after a lengthy development and production time, Diamond Select Toys is almost ready to unleash the remainder of their Marvel Select Infinity War figures! The Disney Store Exclusive Iron Man shocked everyone by being the first-to-market of the movie figures, but his friends that have been up for order for the better part of a year are arriving soon: Avengers Infinity War Marvel Select Iron Spider, Captain America, Thor & Groot!

While Hasbro beat everyone to the punch by having their Avengers Infinity War toys ready and on shelves months before any other company, DST has taken the slow and steady approach to making the best and most detailed 7” figures for the movie that they could.

But like a human baby, the Infinity War Select Figures will finally be arriving just about 9 months after the release of the movie in theaters! We’re still waiting to see Cap, but let’s take a good look at the final production versions of the others…

This Marvel Select Iron Spider figure will almost certainly be a huge hit for DST, as the Hasbro Legends version of the figure was ultimately a major disappointment with no mecha-legs and dual web-slinging hands with no extra hands included.

ML Iron Spider was a pretty ridiculous release, very likely because of having to be rushed to market. With its premium paint job, articulated robot legs and eight interchangeable hands for just $22-$25, the Iron Spider Marvel Select figure looks poised to be a blockbuster seller for DST.

The Marvel Select Groot & Thor two-pack doesn’t look to be quite as big of an upgrade from the Marvel Legends versions, but I think the collecting market will still eagerly eat these up. The sculpt and paint wash on Groot look terrific, and this version of Groot was locked into a Hasbro 3-Pack that not everyone wanted to purchase just for Teen Groot.

Meanwhile, the paint, interchangeable hands, and body armor on IW Thor all look phenomenal, but I’m not sold on the likeness. It definitely has a Hugh Jackman Old Man Logan vibe to me, although I can see Chris Hemsworth there too if I squint. For the scale and price, I still think this two-pack is a steal, however.

The Marvel Select Avengers Infinity War Captain America, Iron Spider and Thor with Groot figures are all still up for order, and expected to arrive in mid-January 2019. The figures won’t necessarily all arrive the same week, and as we don’t have photos of packaged Infinity War Cap yet, I suspect he’ll be the member of the team to show up latest in January. I’ll update this article with packaged pics of Captain America as soon as they’re available (which will hopefully be within the next week or two).
