Long, long gone are the days when I’d enthusiastically buy every Mezco Marvel ONE:12 Collective figure that came out just because “Marvel”. But their latest release has managed to ensnare me with a different name: “X-Men”. Expanding their X-Men team with a new member for the first time in quite a while, the Mezco ONE:12 Collective Nightcrawler figure is now up for order! Is this 6” fuzzy elf worth *your* $100+?
With space and resources diminishing as I get further and further into my collecting life, I’ve cut back from the ridiculous Marvel collectible buying dynamo that I once was. One of the casualties of my slowing down has been my Marvel ONE:12 Collective collection, which is missing a ton of variants and even a few unique characters now.
But while I don’t buy every Mezco Toyz Marvel figure these days, I absolutely still sit up and pay attention when Mezco hits on one of my focuses. And that’s just what they’ve done with their newest addition to the Marvel lineup, the X-Men’s own Nightcrawler ONE:12 Collective figure!
This Kurt Wagner was previously displayed at NYCC 2025, so we more or less knew what to expect from this 6” figure; Nightcrawler in a slightly stylized version of his iconic original costume (with some little extra detailing to add to the realism).
This costume choice is a smart move that unquestionably will sell more units than any other possible Nightcrawler costume (though I would absolutely shell out for a soft goods Uncanny Spider-Man version). This look is instantly recognizable to even casual fans and came out looking great.
But where this Nightcrawler really excels and even overachieves is the lavish assortment of accessories Mezco has included! The expansive trove includes 4 different cutlass swords, three interchangeable heads, four interchangeable posed feet, six interchangeable hands, three interchangeable tails, a light-up BAMF smoke effects piece and the ubiquitous display base with posing pole. Phew! That is a crazy amount of extras!
We’ve seen pre-posed feet before from companies like McFarlane Toys, but it’s neat to see Mezco incorporating them here. The selection of heads, tails, hands, swords and feet for this action figure are absolutely unreal. There’s so many parts combinations here that my math fails me. Props on the wild job, Mezco!
Including a variety of swords gives this Mezco Nightcrawler dual-wielding possibilities that I don’t believe any Hasbro iteration of the character has ever had before (without stealing extra swords from other figures). I really appreciate this nice touch.
The big “BAMF!” Smoke effects piece looks great, and kind of puts the little one from the recent Marvel Legends Uncanny Spider-Man figure by Hasbro to shame. I’m sort of “whatever” about the light-up features, but I’m sure some collectors will utilize and appreciate those more than me.
The Mezco ONE:12 Collective Nightcrawler figure is up for order now and teleporting in later this year. $116 is a hell of a lot for a six inch figure, but I’m oddly accepting of it for a premium figure with the sheer quantity of unique extras that we’re getting here. Your sense of value may vary.
What do you think of Mezco’s latest X-Men recruit, Marvel collectors? Does the trove of accessories make him worth his price-tag, and are you considering picking him up yourself?
