Sony shocked everyone earlier this week when, after numerous delays over the last year, they actually moved the released date for the Venom 2 movie forward to October 1st! That means Venom: Let There Be Carnage will now be in theaters in under a month—and what better way to celebrate than with some new(-ish) merch, right? In a wildly unexpected move of their own, Kotobukiya is bringing “Renewal Editions” of their ARTFX+ Venom and Carnage statues back up for pre-order with new paint, new heads and even all new bases! Do these new additions make these 1/10 PVC statues worth their new higher prices?
Continue Reading →2021 has been a notably slow year for Marvel Select figure collectors, with just a handful of new Diamond Select Toys Marvel figure releases hitting shelves and even fewer new figures being solicited for specialty retailers. But the drought has been punctuated over the last couple weeks, as a trio of comics-based figures have begun to arrive! Shipping soon from online retailers, the Marvel Select Titanium Man, Human Torch and Silver Centurion Iron Man figures have begun hitting some comic shops and are looking full-on fantastic!
Continue Reading →Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings had an explosively successful Labor Day opening weekend, and that means it’s time to start getting pumped for the next (hopefully) big thing in the MCU: the Eternals! I have some doubts about the mainstream marketability of the Eternals, but nothing ventured, nothing gained—and the LEGO Group is not afraid to take risks on major Marvel Studios movies! A quartet of LEGO Eternals sets have been officially revealed on the LEGO Shop website and are coming our way in just a few weeks!
Continue Reading →After years making their mark in the collecting sphere with Marvel movie-based statues, Iron Studios finally gained the attention of superhero comics-based collectors everywhere when they debuted their line of 1/10 X-Men Sentinel diorama statues two years ago. The X-Men BDS (Battle Diorama Series) has since become an ever-expanding “golden goose” for the company—and now the line is expanding even further! The Iron Studios Havok and Magik statues are now up for order, and upcoming X-Men statues of Spiral, Mojo and Sauron have been revealed!
Continue Reading →Hasbro has spoiled collectors with a plethora of Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure series, exclusives, box sets, Retro series figures and more throughout 2021–but there’s one wave that’s been waiting to leap into fans’ hands longer than any other. After slipping out overseas toward the end of 2020, the Marvel Legends Eternals Gilgamesh Series is now up for order! Eternals is of the most obscure franchises to ever join the MCU—will its cast of characters be joining your collection of 6” action figures?

We’re coming down to the wire in the Marvel Legends Galactus HasLab campaign–and defying the mid-month trends, the project has now been fully-funded with time to spare! But it’s not just Galactus who’s been funded–all three stretch-goal figures are also now confirmed, with thresholds reached for the Marvel Legends Frankie Raye Nova, Silver Surfer and even the newly-revealed Morg the Executioner! And with just over a day to go, only the Tier 4 stretch goal remains: a… giant hooded Doctor Doom head for Galactus??
Continue Reading →Fans have known for well over a year that the new Spider-Man: No Way Out movie would be arriving at the end of 2021, and that made it a given that a tie-in series of Spider-Man Marvel Legends No Way Out figures would be hitting stores around that time as well. Collectors had sky-high hopes for things like new Alfred Molina Doc Ock and Tobey Maguire Spider-Man Legends figures, but, well—what actually came to fruition is a little different: the Marvel Legends Spider-Man No Way Out Armadillo Series is now up for order!

If anybody had ever told me a few years ago that I would legitimately love a wacky, pirate captain Hellfire Club Red King version of Kitty Pryde, I would have said they were out of their freaking minds. But then the Jonathan Hickman era of X-Men arrived, bringing with it Marauders Kate “Don’t Call Me Kitty” Pryde, and my heart grew three sizes that day. I’ve been hoping for a statue or at least a Marvel Legends figure of her ever since, but the first piece of merch for the character is neither: the Previews EXCLUSIVE Funko POP Kate Pryde & Lockheed figure is now up for order online! Hold Fast!!
Continue Reading →2021 has been a weird year for the Marvel Legends Prop Replicas (or life-size “premium role-play items”, as Hasbro calls them officially) lineup. We got the excellent Marvel Legends Eye of Agamotto, but also the wildly-colored and totally bizarre bright cyan Captain America Stealth Shield. I wasn’t sure if we’d see any more entries this year, but looks like Hasbro had one more in the works, and it’s a good one: the Avengers Endgame Marvel Legends Iron Spider helmet is now up for order! Most of these ML life-size helmets have been pure win, and this looks like no exception…
Continue Reading →One of the most poorly-kept 6″ Marvel Legends “secrets” of the year was that a classic Excalibur team set of some kind was on the way. Many fans assumed we’d be seeing a 5-Pack (or larger) to knock out the whole core team in one fell swoop, but it ends up that those guesses slightly missed the mark. Today, Hasbro officially revealed the upcoming Exclusive Marvel Legends Excalibur figures box set—including Captain Britain, Meggan and Shadowcat Kitty Pryde!
Continue Reading →With under two months until show time, it certainly seems as though New York Comic Con 2021 is going to be a go! Given that we haven’t had a “nerd convention” of this scale in the United States since before the pandemic, I think everyone is still a little wary the event won’t happen at all. But along with news of ReedPop requiring proof of full vaccinations for all attendees 12 and up, we also got news of the first exclusive this week: the NYCC 2021 Exclusive Marvel Zombies Zombie Doctor Doom Bust is now up for order!
Continue Reading →We’re fast approaching the Venom 2 movie hitting theaters in October, and that means merch season is about to be in full swing. We got the “related” Marvel Legends Venom series and Kotobukiya Carnage last year due to the movie’s delay, but Sideshow debuted all-new 1/4 versions of the symbiotes during Sideshow Con 2021 last month. And up first to launch is the new Sideshow Carnage Premium Format Figure! And Cletus Kassidy isn’t coming alone—Sideshow’s newest 1/4 Captain America statue is up for order now as well!
Continue Reading →I’ve gone out of my way to avoid watching any and all trailers for each of the Disney+ Marvel series so far, so from the time Hasbro unveiled this year’s new Loki in drab businessman-looking attire to when I ordered this Marvel Legends Loki Disney+ figure online to even after I had it unboxed and in-hand, I had zero clue what the heck this ML Loki was all about. But having now watched and fallen in love with the entire Disney+ Loki series—and with Sylvie and Mobius figures on the way—it’s high time I sat down and reviewed what is definitely the weirdest-clothed Loki action figure to-date…
Continue Reading →The clock is ticking down on the Marvel Legends Galactus HasLab project, and since last week’s reveal of an exclusive Frankie Raye Nova unlockable didn’t do much to move the needle (at all), no time like the present to announce more releases to support backing the World Devourer! And so, that made yesterday the perfect time for Hasbro to officially reveal some figures we basically all knew were on the way anyway: the Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Retro series is now up for order! And while we’ve had the FF a few times in the last couple years, this wave brings us some stuff we’ve never seen before—like Psycho Man and the High Evolutionary!

Fantastic Four may have been the primary plot-line of this week’s Hasbro Pulse Marvel Fan First Monday stream, but there were still a few nuggets of non-FF news to be found! And X-fans have got some things they knew about—and some they did not—to get excited about! For the first time ever, ShopDisney (AKA the online Disney Store) is sharing an exclusive with Hasbro Pulse Premium: the exclusive Marvel Legends X-Force 3-Pack Cannonball, Domino and Rictor figures are now up for order! If you ever wanted Cannonball with legs, asymmetrical Domino or wild 90s Rictor with luscious long hair, this is the set for you!
