2013 Marvel Legends Classic Hawkeye Action Figure

Ever since Hasbro Marvel Legends Series 5 was announced at Toy Fair (2013 Marvel Legends Series 2), I’ve been intrigued about how Hasbro was going to determine the case-pack. Counting variants, there are 9 different figures in the series, so it was entirely possible we’d get Marvel Legends cases with up to 8 different new figures in them. Today, all that guessing came to an end, as retailers were officially allowed to reveal the Marvel Legends 2013 Wave 2 case ratios. And, well.. the case assortment is pretty terrible…

Do you prefer the limited Hot Toys Special Edition sixth-scale figures with extra stuff to the mass release versions? Do you have ambitions of collecting a small armada of little holographic Iron Man armors? If you’ve answered “yes” to these questions, Hot Toys has just the thing for you: the Hot Toys Iron Man 3 War Machine Mark 2 Special Edition with bonus War Machine Mark I holographic figure is now available…

Marvel Select Nightcrawler Action Figure Review

Posted on by May 6, 2013
DST Nightcrawler Figure At the Circus

Nightcrawler has a special place in my heart, as the Toybiz X-Men Nightcrawler Series 1 figure was the first X-Men action figure I ever bought (of hundreds). These days, Nightcrawler doesn’t get too much love from toy companies (what with being dead and all). I recently gave up my unwarranted avoidance of Marvel Select figures, so when the Marvel Select Nightcrawler figure released this week, he was a must-buy for me. And while Nightcrawler turns out to be my least-favorite Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select figure I’ve bought so far, I still think he’s worth picking up…

It’s raining Iron Man… Hallelujah! As you may have heard, a movie called “Iron Man 3” set international box office records over the weekend and will be opening in the United States this Friday. But today Hot Toys announced another Iron Man 3 Movie Masterpiece Series Diecast figure, and it’s the second that’s not Tony Stark. Marvel Minimates Wave 51 Captain America with Hard Light Shield

We’ve known the lineup for Marvel Minimates Series 51 by Diamond Select Toys for quite a while. Based on “Marvel NOW!”, the set features characters like the new Nova (Sam Alexander), Maria Hill, Nick Fury Jr. (don’t ask), and Shanna the She-Devil. We saw all high-resolution photos of all those figures weeks ago. But Diamond Select Toys had one card left to play, and they flipped it at C2E2 2013 in Chicago over the weekend: the reveal of the Marvel Minimates Wave 51 Captain America Steve Rogers Minimate figure!

Avengers Hot Toys Loki Tom Hiddleston Movie Masterpiece with Staff

Tom Hiddleston is the heartthrob of virtually every woman (and even quite a few men) in America. So the fact that the most authentic sixth-scale figure of Tom Hiddleston ever is on the way is a pretty big deal. The fact that that figure also happens to be the villain of the Avengers movie, Loki, makes this Hot Toys figure release even more critical. It’s been a long wait for Loki (and Tom Hiddleston) fans, but the wait is just about at its end. The Avengers Hot Toys Loki Movie Masterpiece figure will be shipping out in just a few weeks–but if you haven’t already ordered him, you may end up missing out…

Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Mandarin Movie Masterpiece Announced!

Posted on by April 25, 2013
Mandarin Iron Man 3 Screenshot

The moment that it was revealed that The Mandarin would be the primary antagonist in this summer’s “Iron Man 3” movie, speculation began to run rampant as to whether or not Hot Toys would produce an Iron Man 3 Mandarin Movie Masterpiece Series figure. While it would only seem logical for Hot Toys to make a sixth-scale figure of The Mandarin, I’ve heard numerous people insist that the Hot Toys Iron Man 3 figure line would be limited to the various armor suits seen in the movie. Luckily, Hot Toys decided to step in this morning and remove all doubt…

Funko Iron Man 3 POP! Vinyls Figures Released

Iron Man 3 Funko POP Vinyl Deep Space Suit Iron Man Gemini Armor

I’ll be honest: I may genuinely own more vinyl collectible figures than I do action figures. See, I went through a phase where I bought hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of Disney Vinylmation vinyl figures each year. So, generally, I’m pretty aware of what’s going on in the vinyl collecting world. That’s why I was so surprised when I turned the corner at my local comic book store yesterday and came face-to-face with a display of figures I didn’t even know had been released: the Funko Iron Man 3 POP! Vinyls figure line…

Jim Lee Jean Grey Marvel Legends Figure 2013

With “Iron Man 3” being the media’s darling and at the forefront of everyone’s minds, the main Hasbro Marvel Legends line has really gotten a little bit ignored the past few months.

I needed a break from talking about Iron Man, though, so I figured I’d stop and give my thoughts and commentary on the figures coming up in the second Marvel Legends series of 2013: Marvel Legends Wave 5–the Build-A-Rocket Raccoon set…

War Machine Iron Man 3 Kotobukiya ArtFX Statue

It’s a good thing no one ever gets tired of Iron Man merchandise (right?), because like most of the Marvel collectibles being revealed this month, the next Kotobukiya ArtFX statue comes straight out of the upcoming “Iron Man 3” movie! No, it’s not another Tony Stark Iron Man armor–this time, it’s Jim Rhodes in the suit! It’s the Iron Man 3 War Machine ArtFX Statue…
