Spider-Man Marvel Legends Lizard Amazon Exclusive Figure Up for Order!

Before the MCU absolutely exploded into the cinematic juggernaut it would be at its peak, Sony debuted Andrew Garfield as their new Amazing Spider-Man. The Andrew era’s first starring villain was The Lizard, who received a Walmart Exclusive figure in the latter half of 2012. Movie Lizard has been absent in Hasbro form ever since, but after a decade, that’s about to change: the No Way Home Marvel Legends Lizard Amazon Exclusive figure is now up for order!

I actually really enjoyed the first Amazing Spider-Man movie, even though I’ve never watched it again since its release night in summer 2012. Andrew Garfield really clicked with me as Spidey, and I thought the film overall was solid (though evidently not enough so to ever compel me to rewatch it).

At the time, I wasn’t enamored with the movie design for Lizard, but Hasbro could of course easily sell me an action figure of him nonetheless. It wasn’t the greatest figure ever, but it was “good enough” that I didn’t feel bad skipping the DST Marvel Select Lizard. And that was the end of the book on movie Lizard figures for over a dozen years.

Rhys Ifans was never actually on the set of the film due to the pandemic, so The Lizard in NWH entirely uses a mish-mash of reworked old footage and new CGI.

And so, it seems quite apropos that this new Spider-Man No Way Home Marvel Legends release will be a kitbash of old and new portions as well. The 2012 torso and (unfortunately still non-bendy) tail return, while the rest of the toy will be new pieces: a new heads, neck, arms and legs.

No Way Home Marvel Legends Villains Figures The Lizard Hasbro Amazon Exclusive

This isn’t a perfect answer to what many fans were begging for (a full lineup of No Way Home villains), but it is still an upgrade to an older, now difficult to find figure that there likely wasn’t the budget for making a 100% new mold for. While a totally brand new figure at today’s standards would obviously be preferable, I think this is an acceptable way to re-release a very good (albeit imperfect) rendition of a one-off, niche character.

Hasbro also confirmed a No Way Home Electro Legends figure should be revealed next year, which will complete the villainous roster for the movie in modern 6” Marvel Legends form (alongside this Lizard and the previous releases of Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Sandman). That Electro is already among the most-awaited reveals of 2025 and sure to be a hot commodity once it does launch.

2025 Spider-Man Marvel Legends Lizard Action Figure Amazon Exclusive

The Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends Lizard movie figure went up for order today, and will ship out in 2025. Some Amazon ML exclusives (particularly the large box sets) tend to sit around on the site stagnantly, but as a hyped individual release of a semi-sought after villain, Lizard may actually sell out via pre-orders faster than expected. This is a case where it can’t hurt to reserve one early if you’re on the fence.

What do you think of the Marvel Legends 2025 Lizard figure, Spider-Man collectors? Have you been lacking a Lizard in your collection or hoping for an improved remix?
