Given the thousands of dollars of Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron figures that have gone up for pre-order in the past few months, I really thought that Hot Toys might be giving their collectors a week off from the financially-crippling onslaught of new pre-orders. But, as happens from time to time, I thought wrong. Not only is there a new Age of Ultron Hot Toys figure going up for order this week–but it’s a limited exclusive: the Sideshow exclusive die-cast Hot Toys War Machine Mark II is now up for order! Well, there’s no doubt about it. In 2015, more than ever before, Hot Toys has decided to wage all-out war this year on collectors’ wallets! Eight Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron figures are already up for order without the movie even being in theaters yet, and it doesn’t look like Hot Toys is planning to slow down any time soon! At this weekend’s “Marvel’s Avengers Age of Ultron Exhibition” in Hong Kong, Hot Toys has officially revealed four more new figures, including the Hot Toys Ultron Mark I, Iron Legion, Ultron Sentry and more!

While Funko has traditionally kept their comic book movie lines of POP Vinyl figures reasonably small, after the runaway success of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls, Funko has started to think big! As such, even though the movie isn’t even out yet, Funko already has twelve Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls figures either already in stores or on the way! Three of those figures are exclusive variants, and while the first exclusive I picked up is the Funko Gamma Glow Hulk POP Vinyl, I unfortunately can’t exactly give him a glowing review…

Last month, Hot Toys debuted an all-new range of super-deformed bobble-head figures called the Artist Mix Collection. Seeing as how these figures utilize a very similar size and are all super-deformed bobble figures, I assumed that we’d be getting the Avengers Age of Ultron Artist Mix Series instead of an Avengers Age of Ultron Cosbaby line. I assumed wrong. Last week, Hot Toys showed off the first six Avengers Cosbabies, and now they’ve followed up by revealing Series 1.5 and Series 2–including Cosbaby Vision, Black Widow and Hulkbuster Iron Man!

It was a week ago today that Hasbro allowed online retailers to start taking pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 Thanos Series of action figures. Because of the case-pack ratios (where four of the six figures are packed at one-per-case), the vast majority of stores are only selling full cases (or complete sets at a markup) of the Avengers Legends Wave 2 figures. When toy companies started unveiling their Avengers Age of Ultron toys and there were few Black Widow figures to be found, there was an outcry for more Black Widow merch. Well, Hasbro announced a new Marvel Legends Black Widow and the Marvel Select Black Widow figure debuted at the 2015 New York Toy Fair, and that left only one gaping omission… which has now been filled.
