I get a handful of people messaging me each and every week asking when the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers figures series will be going up for order. Unfortunately, Hasbro hasn’t allowed retailers to open pre-orders yet for the series (and likely won’t until closer to the new year). That said, while you can’t order them just yet, thanks to a series of auctions listed by a Hong Kong scrapper, we can get our first look at some stolen/discarded factory samples of the Avengers Marvel Legends Infinite Series coming our way this winter!

While I was out seeing the wonder that is the Big Hero 6 movie last night, Hasbro was burning the midnight oil! As such, on a cold fall Saturday night, we got our first packaged look at the figures I get more people messaging and asking me about than any others: the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers figures!
We’re still going to have to wait until winter to get them, but now we can drool over the Avengers Marvel Legends Series 1 hi-res photos until then…
Continue Reading →A couple weeks back I reviewed the 2014 X-Men Marvel Legends Cyclops figure. That 6″ Cyclops figure had its share of flaws and failed to impress me, but Hasbro had one other Cyclops figure lined up for this year: the previously-canceled Marvel Universe Astonishing Cyclops figure.
I had high enough hopes for this long-delayed 4″ figure that I didn’t mind ordering Cyclops online, but ultimately the Marvel Infinite Series Cyclops figure ended up disappointing me as well…
Continue Reading →Ah, Ares. Fans were skeptical when the Greek God of War joined the Avengers, but Ares’ smash-and-kill go-get-’em attitude quickly won over many readers. And then Ares died the most gruesome death in the history of Marvel Comics, as he was bilaterally ripped in half by the Sentry. To commemorate that memorable event, Hasbro is finally bringing Ares to the Marvel Universe scale, as the Marvel Infinite Series Ares figure was released this summer! Is this 3 3/4″ Ares figure worth adding to your collection? Read on…
Continue Reading →Hasbro waltzed into San Diego Comic Con 2014 this week and really knocked the socks off of Marvel Legends collectors with their previews of the 6″ Marvel Legends 2015 figures lineup. But for fans of the 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures, things weren’t quite as peachy-keen.
While character selection for the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series is definitely top-notch, the figures themselves that Hasbro has developed are likely to disappoint plenty of collectors…
Continue Reading →After getting off to an extremely slow start (as in “I’ve yet to even see one figure in a physical retail store”), Hasbro is apparently getting ready to give a major push to their 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures line, the 2014 Marvel Universe successor. Just this past week we got our first glimpse of Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3, and now Marvel Infinite Series Wave 4 is already announced and up for pre-order! Don’t get too excited, though. Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series Wave 4 sounds pretty uninspired–to say the least…
Continue Reading →A couple weeks back Hasbro let retailers know the contents of this summer’s Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 assortment so that stores could start taking Marvel Infinite Series 3 figure pre-orders. But while we knew what characters made up the series, we had to give our best guesses as to what the actual figures were going to look like as far as era, costume, and so forth. But now we wait no longer! Hasbro has released hi-res, packaged images of all six figures in Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3, including Valkyrie, Ant Man, Cyclops and more!
Continue Reading →It’s been a tad slow around here lately, but today we’ve got some news to report from the most bizarre of places: a Chinese auction site! Yes, Taobao, the much-beloved auction site preferred by many sellers with stolen factory products, has uncovered two previously-unannounced possible SDCC 2014 exclusive Hasbro Marvel Universe 2014 Marvel Infinite Series figures: Starfox and Nebula! If your first reaction to those names is “Wait… who?”, read on…
Continue Reading →Even though many collectors have yet to see a single Marvel Infinite Series 1 figure on shelves (not one of my local stores have even stocked them yet), but Hasbro is going full steam ahead with the Marvel Universe 2014 successor line of figures! Hasbro gave us a glimpse at Marvel Infinite Series 3 figures at the 2014 Toy Fair in February, but today Hasbro allowed pre-orders for Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 to open, revealing fantastic case ratios and some unreleased figures we thought might be lost forever…
Continue Reading →Even though the first wave of the Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 4″ figures is just starting to hit stores in the last week, the long-wanted Wasp figure is already burning up the aftermarket and selling for $30+.
But fear not, Marvel Universe-scale fans! Help is on the way in the form of a case assortment that at least I think is pretty decent, which brings us two Janet Van Dyne Wasp figures–as well as two of everybody else–per case…
Continue Reading →At last month’s New York Toy Fair 2014, Hasbro made a ton of upcoming products official that many collectors already knew to be in the pipeline from leaked retailer lists, including the Marvel Infinite Series 2 lineup of action figures! While we already knew they were coming before the 2014 Toy Fair, we got to see them for the first time last month.
And now Hasbro has sent out hi-res images of the series, giving our best look yet at Marvel Avengers Infinite Series Wave 2 Death’s Head, Whirlwind, Red She-Hulk and more!
Continue Reading →Seeing as how the first wave of Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ action figures are almost ready to ship out and up till now we’d heard zippo from Hasbro about Wave 2, it didn’t take a zen master of collecting to know that the 2014 Marvel Universe Infinite Series 2 figures would be debuting at New York Toy Fair 2014 this weekend.
And as expected, they did–highlighted by the Marvel Infinite Series 2 Whirlwind, Death’s Head and Red She-Hulk action figures!
Continue Reading →Well, it seems that the months of sadness and grieving surrounding the name change of Hasbro’s “Marvel Universe” line to “Avengers Infinite Series” may have been premature… sort of. Hasbro sent out the first hi-res packaged photos today of the upcoming Avengers Infinite Series 1 figures, and as it turns out, the line isn’t called that at all! (What?)
Apparently the line is going to be called “Marvel Infinite Series”. But whatever the line is called, the packaged images make it clear that that the figures are going to be pretty outstanding!
Continue Reading →After a long drought of news regarding the Avengers Infinite Series 3 3/4″ line (which was replaces the Hasbro Marvel Universe line in 2014), in the past two weeks we’ve learned virtually everything there is to know about Avengers Infinite Series 1. A confirmed lineup and hi-res images appeared during the holidays, and today Hasbro is allowing retailers to take orders for Avengers Infinite Series 1 figures and cases, thus revealing the case ratios! Though, sad to say, Wasp fans will not be happy…
Continue Reading →Hot news items have been few and far between during the week between Christmas and New Year’s this year, so tonight I’m going to take a step back and take a closer look at some Hasbro Marvel 2014 figures revealed just last week. As it replaces the soon-to-be legendary 3 3/4″ Marvel Universe line, the Avengers Infinite Series has some pretty big shoes to fill–but with a strong initial lineup, it may be on the right track.
Coming in March 2014 (if not earlier)–Avengers Universe Infinite Series 1!
