It’s no secret that I’ve been getting seduced by the sweet siren song of Iron Studios over the past few months, as their resin 1/10 Battle Diorama Series Marvel statues are becoming more and more impressive. If there’s one figure that I know a lot–and I mean a lot–of Hot Toys collectors have been regretting skipping lately, it’s the original Hot Toys Doctor Strange figure. With the Sorcerer Supreme’s solo movie not exactly shattering records and setting the merch world on fire, a lot of collectors skipped Benedict Cumberbatch’s first MMS figure entirely. As a result, when he was a major character with a ton of screen-time in Avengers Infinity War, the first figure exploded on the aftermarket, selling for $700-$800 this month. When Hot Toys debuted their lineup of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 lineup of Movie Masterpiece Series sixth scale figures last year, many fans who missed out on the team from the first movie or who just wanted upgrades rejoiced.
