And so, the announcement of this year’s Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Black Widow 60th Anniversary figure was met with some malaise. Hasbro has revealed and released such a steady stream of 6” Marvel Legends figures throughout the year so far that with the upcoming Disney+ wave having already leaked, I wasn’t certain they’d have many surprises left to show at SDCC 2023. But Hasbro actually did have quite a few cards left in reserve—including an all-star comics-centric wave with an army-builder Build-A-Figure! If there’s one villain that was wronged by the first 19 years of Marvel Legends, it’s Ultron. Toybiz’s long-eared attempt was universally hated, and Hasbro’s first efforts weren’t quite on the ball either. But for this year’s series of Iron Man Marvel Legends, Hasbro finally hit a home run. Ultron quickly sold out through most online retailers, and has been difficult to locate at retail stores.
