Ever since the Gentle Giant Marvel Animated statues line (inspired by the Skottie Young Marvel Babies artwork) began, Gentle Giant has delivered headliner A-List character after A-List character in it, from Iron Man to Deadpool to Spider-Gwen. But at SDCC 2016, the next entry in the line was revealed, and while he’s never been a hugely popular mainstream character, I’m looking forward to having him nonetheless: the Marvel Animated Gentle Giant Vision statue is now up for order! And hey–there’s something for bookend collectors too…

Ordinarily there’s a bit of a Marvel toy news lull after San Diego Comic-Con, but that doesn’t seem to be the case this year! Not only has Hot Toys blitzed us with some outstanding new sixth scale figures this week, but now Disney is launching their own line of near-sixth scale Marvel Ultimate Series Premium Figures! Their 10″ Black Widow figure isn’t too bad, but that Marvel “Ultimate Series” Captain America action figure… oh dear…

SDCC 2016: Kotobukiya Vision & Squirrel Girl Statues!

In a few hours we’ll have proverbial longboxes filled with new Marvel toy news and photos to share from the Hasbro Marvel SDCC 2016 panel. But in the meantime, there’s some other companies whose reveals from San Diego Comic-Con 2016 deserve attention, and one of those companies is Kotobukiya! Along with the expected debuts of Bishoujo Loki and Lady Thor and the Spider-Man ARTFX+ Series, Koto also unveiled two totally unexpected surprises: the Kotobukiya Vision Fine Arts Statue and Squirrel Girl Bishoujo!

Seeing as how the calendar claims today is the first day of December 2015, it’s probably time that we heard about the Winter 2016 LEGO Marvel sets, right…? Well, yes and no. While most of LEGO themes’ sets for the new year roll out January 1st, the LEGO Marvel 2016 sets are not among them. We’ll have to wait a while longer for those. Even so, at least we now know a few sets we can look forward to this winter–including the first-ever LEGO Thanos and Captain Marvel minifigures!

I’ve been playing the ultra-popular Disney Tsum Tsum mobile game on-and-off for about a year now, and picking-and-choosing random Tsum Tsum plush along the way.
