Traditionally, MCU statues have lingered for a little while before selling out. But if there’s ever been a Marvel movie statue destined to sell out like lightning, this is it: the Iron Studios Avengers Endgame Captain America 1/4 statue with Mjolnir is now up for order! If this doesn’t sell out within a few hours, I will be truly shocked! Who’s in for what may end up being the most hyped MCU statue ever?

You want it—you got it! While the overall response to the Hot Toys Avengers Endgame Captain America figure that’s now up for order has been positive, there were still a few things fans were hoping for. Namely: a (spoileriffic) Mjolnir hammer and a broken Captain America shield… plus a new and more accurate Steve Rogers Chris Evans portrait. Well, Hot Toys has now released photos confirming they’re three-for-three fulfilling those requests! Do these additions make this the definitive Captain America for you?

Fans aren’t the only ones rejoicing that the movie has finally arrived, as we can expect merchandisers to roll out a steady stream of new toys for the movie over the next few weeks. And Hot Toys has saved two of their most-anticipated updated characters to launch today: the Hot Toys Endgame Captain America and Black Widow 1:6 figures are now up for order! Is it worth tossing your old versions in a box in favor of these new ones?
Continue Reading →The first two Avengers Endgame Marvel Legends figures that I previously reviewed—Ronin and the Armored Thanos Build-A-Figure—were both overall solid figures with a few faults holding them back. But the third and final ML Endgame figure in this Wave is one I’ve had to gather up the motivation to review at all. Hasbro is hoping that we’ll all buy multiples of the Marvel Legends Endgame Captain America figure—but is this a figure that collects will want to own any of?
Continue Reading →While Hot Toys is covering Marvel movie-based sixth scale figures so magnificently that there’s zero need for other company to compete with them on the movie front, Marvel Comics sixth scale figures are few and far between (especially with the Hasbro 12” line seemingly on hiatus). But Sideshow Collectibles is still slowly trucking along with comic book-styled goodness, and their next character is a bit of a surprise: the Sideshow Exclusive Red Skull 1/6 figure is now up for order!
Continue Reading →I’m finishing up my coverage of New York Toy Fair 2019 this week, and I’ve saved the best for last from Hasbro: the “80 Years of Marvel” Legends series! Composed of 17 total figures, I’ll split my previews between the comic and movie figures and focus first on the 10 Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary movie Figures—including Peggy Carter, Korg, Grandmaster, Iron Spider with Mecha-Legs and more!
Continue Reading →There was a great disturbance in the Marvel Legends collecting world this week, as what felt like millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror as their Amazon pre-orders for Professor X were unexpectedly mass-cancelled. That was definitely a bit of a surprise twist–but don’t worry, you can still get a PO for Xavier online from BBTS. But while we all re-order and wait for Professor X to arrive, let’s take a look at the final Riders figure for the year: Marvel Legends Ultimate WWII Captain America & Motorcycle!

Well, as expected those first two pieces appears today at Toy Fair—along with surprise debuts of Hulk and Iron Man! Having seen these pieces in person, there’s no question Kotobukiya has upped their detail and quality game… although they’ve up their prices as well…

Most of my photos will be posted on the Marvel Toy News social media pages this afternoon, but I wanted to post about one new reveal particularly—because its on-sale date is today! First hinted at at SDCC, the Exclusive Marvel Legends Arnim Zola & Hydra Captain America set is now up for order!

After being announced way back in the spring, Diamond Select Toys finally revealed the Marvel Select Infinity War Figures shipping in December 2018 at SDCC. But those who couldn’t attend the show don’t have to rely on con-goer photos anymore—DST has shared the first official hi-res images of Captain America, Iron Spider, Thor and Groot!

And so, even though Sam Wilson has gone back to his better-known identity of The Falcon, Kotobukiya is producing Sam for their first-ever time–in his Cap persona: the Kotobukiya Sam Wilson Captain America ARTFX+ statue is now up for order!
Continue Reading →SDCC 2018 is unbelievably just three days away, and that doesn’t just means loads of new Marvel figures and statues being revealed—it also means many Comic Con Exclusive Marvel toys will be hitting the marketplace. And to my surprise, I’ll be reviewing a few of those SDCC Exclusives in advance! An unexpected package from Hasbro showed up on my doorstep this weekend, giving me the opportunity to review the SDCC Marvel Legends Red Skull & Electronic Tesseract set that folks are pre-selling for $100+ on ebay…
Continue Reading →Alongside the annual SDCC Exclusive Marvel Legends 6″ figures box set, Hasbro usually has one more exclusive goodie for Marvel collectors. Sometimes it’s a 3.75″ Marvel Universe-scaled exclusive (like that awesome The Collector’s Vault set with Lockjaw!), and sometimes it’s a 12″ figure (like Daredevil). But this year, it’s something we haven’t gotten before as a Comic-Con Exclusive. The first-ever SDCC Exclusive Marvel Legends life-size replica: the electronic Tesseract–plus a 6″ Red Skull from Captain America: The First Avenger!
Continue Reading →When rumors started circulating that one of this year’s Hot Toys 2018 Toy Fair Exclusives was going to be a Black and White Captain America, a lot of folks (including me!) thought it sounded like hogwash. But looks like we underestimated Hot Toys’ resourcefulness when it comes to variants, because they actually came up with a B&W Cap that makes sense and is pretty desirable: the limited EXCLUSIVE Hot Toys Concept Art Captain America is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Hasbro has done an increasingly good job over the past few years in producing more of the important characters from the various Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, but there are quite a few characters that fell through the cracks. Luckily, Hasbro is giving many collectors what they want and filling in the gaps! We got a first round of POs in the winter and here comes round 2: the Marvel Studios Legends Ant-Man & Yellowjacket, Red Skull, Thor & Lady Sif are now up for order!
