Husbands will get up to all sorts of mischief and debauchery while their wives are away. Me? I went to the Hallmark Ornament Premiere. Twice. I went out yesterday afternoon specifically to see if my nearest Hallmart store had put out their ornaments early so that I could photograph the Marvel and LEGO ornaments. And while the 2014 Hallmark Ornaments were out early, I totally forgot to look at the Marvel ones–instead, I bought the Jawa Sandcrawler and Cantina Band ornaments. And so, today I journeyed back to Hallmark to check out the Hallmark Captain America & Spider-Man ornaments…

They say that good things come to those who wait. And if you were a fan of the movie version of The Falcon in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in the spring, you’ve definitely had to wait for a quality action figure to be released. Hasbro missed the boat with no Marvel Legends Falcon figure and a mediocre 4″ Falcon, and the Hot Toys Falcon won’t be released until 2015. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel–an outstanding rendition of Anothony Mackie as the Falcon has now come home! The Marvel Select Falcon figure has now been released and is for sale online and in stores!

The first Hot Toys Captain America: The Winter Soldier sixth scale figure has arrived, and it’s the “Hot Toys Movie Promo Captain America Golden Age Edition Version” figure that sold out in just 12 hours when it went up for sale! Hot Toys Golden Age Captain America has been selling for around $400 on the aftermarket recently, but does the product live up to the hype?

Funko is the king of variant figures, and over the course of the past year one of their most frequent “go to”s for variant ideas is the tried-and-true tradition of “unmasked superhero” figures! Funko unmasked Spider-Man, Iron Patriot and Iron Man as convention exclusives in 2013, and the Funko Unmasked Star-Lord POP! Vinyl figure exclusive just started shipping. Another day, another Funko variant. Last week I talked about the unannounced release of the Barnes and Noble exclusive Funko Black & White Captain America POP! Vinyls figure. Cap is an old-timey kind of guy and Funko loves their black and white variants, so that release was pretty commonplace.
