Look out, Kotobukiya–you’re about to have some stiff competition stateside from Diamond Select Toys! Before we get to the New York Toy Fair 2016 in less than a week (I’m so gonna get run over by a taxi cab), there was a little (huge) show in Japan this weekend called Winter WonderFest 2016 where loads of import Marvel figures were announced. A couple weeks back, Funko went and announced a whole plethora of new Deadpool figures for 2016 in honor of the impending Deadpool movie. But if you thought that that was all the love that Funko was planning to give Wade Wilson this winter, you thought wrong! There are at least a half-dozen more Deadpool POP! Vinyls figures in the pipeline (not counting whatever is in the February Collector Corps box), and two of them have started showing up for sale before Funko can even announce them: it’s the exclusive FYE Blue & Bath Time Deadpool POPs!

As I was getting ready for bed last night at my usual 4AM bedtime, I glanced at my Facebook Newsfeed briefly and was a bit taken aback to see a post by Hot Toys with a mega-sized image of Deadpool’s mask on it. The teaser photo’s accompanying text gave collectors the news that many have been praying for: an official Hot Toys Deadpool sixth scale figure is being released next year! But wait! We didn’t just get an announcement that Wade was coming–at today’s Toy Soul 2015 event overseas, the Deadpool Hot Toys figure was officially revealed!
