Although it’s only appeared a handful of times in Marvel comic books, Spider-Man’s temporary spare Fantastic Four costume disguise has gone on to be the stuff of legends, appearing regularly in video games and even occasionally in toy form. The 3.75” Marvel Universe Bag-Man figure was a hard-to-get and coveted figure for ages, but now Hasbro is taking Spidey’s oddest look to the next level with the Target exclusive 6” Marvel Legends Bombastic Bag-Man figure! Does this comedic Spidey toy delight? Here’s my review…

Continue Reading →Perhaps the singular Marvel item I was most looking forward to seeing in person at NYCC 2022 was the controversial Hasbro Ghost Rider Engine of Vengeance Haslab project. I haven’t talked about the Hell Charger here yet, but I’m ready to now that I’ve had the chance to see the 2022 Marvel Legends Haslab campaign up close and personal…
Continue Reading →Diamond Select Toys generally launches only a few more than a dozen new Marvel Select figures each year, but we’ve become quite used to them maximizing that potential and making every release count. This week, two new figures launched with varying degrees of success buzz-wise: the all-new Marvel Select Super Skrull is now up for order, as well as the Disney Exclusive Miles Morales and Spider-Ham!
Continue Reading →Collectors anxiously look forward to learning the exclusive Marvel Legends figure that comes as part of the annual Marvel Comics Unlimited Plus Membership Kit each year. But fans shan’t have to wait any longer to discover the identity of the 2022 Kit exclusive (although it’s possible they may not be impressed when they do). This year’s “new” figure turns out to be a surprise that nobody was expecting—a slight repaint of a previously-released store exclusive! Traveling through space and time, Marvel Legends Yellow Daredevil is *back*as the 2022 Marvel Unlimited Plus Kit Exclusive action figure!

And after a week of waiting, the time has come: the Amazon Exclusive Spider-Man & Villains 5-Pack is now up for order, featuring 6” figures of Razorback, Human Fly, Purple Symbiote Ultimate Spider-Man and more!
Continue Reading →Funko Marvel Collector Corps boxes have managed to live on for far longer than I ever, ever expected—so much so that I was only vaguely aware Amazon was still distributing them at all. But I’m a sucker for Baby Groot, which is why I must have ordered two (and forgot about them until they showed up on my doorstep) of the Funko Marvel I Am Groot Collector Corps box. Was this MCC box worth returning for? Here’s my unboxing and review…
Continue Reading →Hasbro may not have revealed quite as many never-before-seen Marvel Legends figures as some fans expected at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 last month, but they did show a rather diverse variety of characters. And two of those characters are “team” completing symbiotes that haven’t gotten new figures in 20+ years—until now! We won’t have to go out hunting for Riot and Agony to complete the ML Life Foundation quintet—the Amazon Exclusive Venom, Riot and Agony 3-Pack is now up for order!
Continue Reading →It’s been quite a while since there was a new GameStop Exclusive Marvel Legends figure for fans to look forward to and/or fear missing out on. But that streak came to an end today, with an unexpected Marvel Legends Mister Negative & Inner Demon figures two-pack going up for order! Fans have been waiting for a 6″ Mr. Negative Legends figure for years–will this one satisfy their needs?
Continue Reading →For the first time in several years, it seems like we’re really on-track to have a (relatively) normal San Diego Comic-Con. And just like in pre-pandemic times, merchandisers are ready to rock with an assortment of San Diego Comic-Con 2022 Exclusives! And first up, not surprisingly, is the ever-prolific Diamond Select Toys: the SDCC 2022 Exclusive Spider-Sense Spider-Man Bust, Marvel Gallery Green Phoenix statue and more are all up for pre-order now!
Continue Reading →Carol Danvers’ popularity has had its ups and downs since her live-action MCU movie came out in 2019, with some fans quickly burning out on the character due to the copious amounts of merch suddenly available for her. But one version of Captain Marvel a lot of collectors have still been asking to see in Hasbro 6” figure form is her ultimate comic-based form: Binary! Her limited release was announced last year, but after initially only being available at EBGames in Canada, while supplies last (which won’t be long if she follows the trends of Quasar and Nova), the Walgreens Exclusive Binary figure is now up for order online domestically!
Continue Reading →Sideshow Collectibles must have heard me complaining last week about the dearth of new additions to their 1/4 scale X-Men statue series, because shortly thereafter, an all-new Sideshow Exclusive Nightcrawler Premium Format Figure statue went up for pre-order! It’s the first new Nightcrawler statue to go up for sale in many years—does it look like it will be worth quarter-scale big bucks?
Continue Reading →Although there were few New York Comic Con exclusives this year—perhaps because no one was certain if there would be an event at all, given the long-lasting global pandemic—there was at least one cool Marvel exclusive collectible in honor of the show: a limited-edition X-Force Deadpool variant bust by Diamond Select Toys. But displaying and taking orders for that Deadpool wasn’t the only treat Diamond had for fans—they also revealed concept art for a long-demanded Marvel Select action figure: Apocalypse!
Continue Reading →We’re coming down to the wire in the Marvel Legends Galactus HasLab campaign–and defying the mid-month trends, the project has now been fully-funded with time to spare! But it’s not just Galactus who’s been funded–all three stretch-goal figures are also now confirmed, with thresholds reached for the Marvel Legends Frankie Raye Nova, Silver Surfer and even the newly-revealed Morg the Executioner! And with just over a day to go, only the Tier 4 stretch goal remains: a… giant hooded Doctor Doom head for Galactus??
Continue Reading →If anybody had ever told me a few years ago that I would legitimately love a wacky, pirate captain Hellfire Club Red King version of Kitty Pryde, I would have said they were out of their freaking minds. But then the Jonathan Hickman era of X-Men arrived, bringing with it Marauders Kate “Don’t Call Me Kitty” Pryde, and my heart grew three sizes that day. I’ve been hoping for a statue or at least a Marvel Legends figure of her ever since, but the first piece of merch for the character is neither: the Previews EXCLUSIVE Funko POP Kate Pryde & Lockheed figure is now up for order online! Hold Fast!!
