Being a total fanboy for the Skottie Young Marvel Animated statues series by Diamond Select Toys isn’t exactly one of my best-kept secrets, so I was delighted this winter to finish off a team in the line for the very first time. While the Fantastic Four is coming in fast, the FF were beaten to the team-completion punch by one of the zaniest teams in the Marvel Universe, the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Marvel Animated Drax statue is shipping now and completes the movie roster. Here’s my review…

LEGO Marvel sets have certainly fallen a tad in popularity and sales at mass retail over the last few years, with fewer major widely-distributed sets arriving in the biannual drops and more expensive sets (like last year’s $500 Avengers Tower) being released solely as more limited exclusives. But that doesn’t mean The LEGO Group (TLG) is throwing in the towel! In fact, the January 2024 LEGO Marvel sets that have just been released include 3 major sets including a brick-built Rocket Raccoon, X-Men Blackbird Jet and Spider-Man No Way Home Sandman Final Battle!

Is the new GOTG Legends Mantis figure worth adding to your team roster…?

But 9 years later, here we are—and here Marvel Legends Kraglin is on the pegs at Target. Kraglin is also available shipping from online retailers now—is this fourth most famous Ravager worth ordering for yourself?

Six years after Vance Astro made the scene in the 2017 Titus Series, he’s finally getting some backup this year in the form of a Target Exclusive Yondu figure! Is the long-awaited classic archer worth adding to your ranks? Here’s my review of the newly released Yondu…
Continue Reading →It’s been a long, long time coming, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will finally be hitting movie theaters the first week of May 2023. And that means that for the first time in 6 years, we’ll have a new Hasbro Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures series on store shelves as well! But if you were hoping for a cheap and easy to get Cosmo the Space Dog figure, you’re barking up the wrong tree—the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Marvel Legends series with Adam Warlock, Cosmo Build-A-Figure (!!) and more is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Hasbro didn’t hit us with a complete blitzkrieg of new Marvel Legends 2023 waves during this first month of the year, limiting themselves to just a singular new Build-A-Figure Series solicited (the X-Men Legends Ch’od BAF Series). But that doesn’t mean Hasbro wasn’t busy, as they instead announced a bunch of one-off releases (and put a few up for order), including Franklin & Valeria Richards, a new Advanced Suit PS5 Spider-Man, classic comics Yondu and more!

But I’m a sucker for Baby Groot, which is why I must have ordered two (and forgot about them until they showed up on my doorstep) of the Funko Marvel I Am Groot Collector Corps box. Was this MCC box worth returning for? Here’s my unboxing and review…

Next up is the second Guardians of the Galaxy representative in the wave—the first Marvel Legends Star-Lord figure in half a decade! But those expecting a superior iteration to what’s come before may be disappointed…
Continue Reading →All-new figures will always be preferred by collectors to repacked ones (especially at today’s retail prices), but sometimes a refresh of an old figure hits the right notes such that fans don’t complain. Such is the case with the newly-released Thor Love and Thunder Marvel Legends Groot figure, which combines a lot of newness with a much-requested re-release of the 2018 Teen Groot…
Continue Reading →It’s been a while since an entire major series of movie Marvel Legends figures managed to completely slip out and become public knowledge before Hasbro could even announce a singular figure from the lineup, but that’s exactly what happened this month with the latest MCU wave. Weeks prior to the scheduled pre-order, the entire Marvel Legends Thor Love and Thunder series leaked all over the internet. Hasbro hastily announced the set last week after the cat was out of the bag, and now the Thor Legends Korg Series is officially up for order!

It’s been slow going news-wise for Marvel Legends fans lately (although new waves actually are beginning to hit some stores in dribbles), but Hasbro did have one unexpected new solicitation to announce this week to coincide with Earth Day: an exclusive reissue of an exclusive three-pack that contained three reissued figures to begin with! That’s right, following its release as a Toys R Us exclusive back at the very start of 2017, the Marvel Legends Groot Evolution 3-Pack is now up for order and going back into production! If you missed it, should you get one…?
Continue Reading →Earlier today I talked about two of Diamond Select Toys’ big surprises from their new solicitations in the form of a movie Taskmaster figure and their upcoming Archangel statue’s price-tag, but there was one more major surprise in the listings—a statue of a character I never in my life expected to see a statue of: the Marvel Gallery Jigsaw PVC statue is now up for order! And he’s not coming alone—value-priced Animated Doctor Strange and a comics Marvel Gallery Star-Lord reissue are on the way as well…
Continue Reading →Earlier this month I talked about the singular most expensive Marvel purchase I’ve ever made: the massive Sideshow Juggernaut Maquette. But for those who aren’t loco like me and willing to drop 1.3 grand on a statue, there’s a Juggs for you too: the Diamond Select Marvel Premier Collection Juggernaut Statue is now up for order for just over 200 bucks shipped! But that’s not all—this month’s solicits have also brought us a Marvel Gallery Weapon X, Skottie Young Elektra, GOTG Minimates—and even a 1:2 bust of The Mandalorian!

Randomly in the middle of Sunday afternoon seemed like a bizarre time for it to happen, but the SDCC Exclusive Funko POP Man-Thing figure was briefly up for order online! It’s been pulled now until noon EST on July 19th, so be sure to set your alarms if you missed him and fear the Man-Thing’s touch being absent from your collection!
