Yesterday the much talked-about Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends 6″ action figures went up for pre-order, and today the case assortment for the series has been revealed! To my chagrin, the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures case ratios are not quite what I was expecting. Though he won’t even be appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it appears that there will be plenty of Marvel Legends Iron Man figures to keep shelves warm this summer…

Considering what a complete and utter pain it’s been in 2014 to track down any Marvel Legends figures that aren’t characters named “Captain America” or “Spider-Man”, I’ve been half-dreading the eventual release of the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures. But no longer!
Not only has the “official” street date for them been revealed, but all six Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends figures (including Nova and Gamora) are now available individually for pre-order!

While Diamond Select Toys gave press and buyers at the 2014 New York Toy Fair the first look at this summer’s Marvel Minimates Guardians of the Galaxy figures, photography of the Guardians of the Galaxy Minimates (like most GOTG merch) was not allowed at the event. Collectors have had to be content with word-of-mouth textual descriptions of the wave–until now! Diamond Select has now pulled back the curtain, and the complete Guardians of the Galaxy Minimates series is now available for order!

LEGO was a lot more successful with prohibiting photos of the upcoming LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy sets at Toy Fair 2014 than I expected them to be. Marvel did not want LEGO to allow photography of the Summer 2014 LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy sets, and as such no one was permitted to take photos. Of course, it was only a matter of time until some images leaked anyway, and now we can share a first look at the Guardians of the Galaxy LEGO Knowhere Escape Mission 76020!

When Hasbro announced the lineup for the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures assortment earlier this month, many collectors (including me) were bummed that the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends were limited to the five members of the team with zero villains or secondary characters. Well, Hasbro revealed a whole range of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.5″ figure two-packs at Toy Fair 2014 last week, and if you want villains and ancillary characters, you’re in luck! Many companies brought half-finished packaging for their upcoming products to New York Toy Fair 2014, and some brought no packaging at all. But one company that brought the fully-designed, real deal to the show was Funko (along with about a million new figures)! Sometimes you wake up in the morning and it is legitimately the perfect day. For me, this morning was one of those mornings. Not only did I wake up this morning to discover that the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer had premiered overnight (an event which I knew about but somehow forgot to watch anyway), but then I logged onto my computer to discover a totally unexpected statue announcement–the Kotobukiya Guardians of the Galaxy Rocket Raccoon and Groot ArtFX+ Statue is now available for order!

Photos of the Marvel Funko Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls Star Lord, Groot and Drax the Destroyer figure prototypes leaked onto the web a while ago, so we had some idea of what to expect when Funko did the grand New York Toy Fair 2014 Funko Guardians of the Galaxy POP Vinyls reveal. To keep things interesting, though, Funko had a couple surprises lined up beyond painted versions of the figures we’d already seen: brand-new, never-before-seen Funko Rocket Raccoon and Gamora POP! It’s been a little while since we’ve had a new high-end Marvel sculpture revealed to discuss, and far longer since there’s been a high-end statue or mini bust of a character who has never been given the high-end collectibles treatment before! The Hasbro portion of the New York Toy Fair 2014 begins in just two days, but apparently Hasbro couldn’t stand to keep some of their main event offerings under wraps for even one minute longer!
