When Target stores suddenly started restocking the original 2014 Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy series of figures a couple months ago, I speculated it was because 2017 GOTG Wave 2 wouldn’t be out for a while and Hasbro probably wanted Gamora and Rocket available before the movie hit. With the movie under two weeks away now and no pre-order in sight, that certainly seems to be the case. But one thing that is now in sight is images of all seven figures in this wave packaged…

Of the many Funko Marvel Collector Corps boxes that have shipped since the advent of the series, the single most divisive box among subscribers was the MCC Guardians of the Galaxy box that shipped at the end of 2015. Personally, I loved the scarf and ornaments in that box–but not everyone shared my sentiments. But while that box wasn’t a unanimous hit, I think the latest one might be! While the Spider-Man Homecoming Box is now up for order, let’s have an in-depth review of this month’s outstanding GOTG Vol. 2 Box before we look to the future!

Bandai Japan announced that they had acquired the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 license a few months back, but I started getting a little fidgety wondering if they were actually going to use it when April arrived and we hadn’t seen a single prototype. But while there’s still no word on what characters will be in the S.H. Figuarts GOTG Vol. 2 lineup, we at least know one figure that is on the way: the SH Figuarts Star-Lord figure has now been revealed!
