Hasbro has begun a new tradition this year of revealing some type of Marvel Legends news on the 20th of each month, be it an all-new figure announcement or just fresh images of something we’ve previously been shown. And their June 20th sneak peek just may be the best one yet: built on the body of the rare and astronomically expensive Build-A-Figure from half a decade ago, the exclusive Marvel Legends Apocalypse Retro figure is now up for order!

All-new figures will always be preferred by collectors to repacked ones (especially at today’s retail prices), but sometimes a refresh of an old figure hits the right notes such that fans don’t complain. Such is the case with the newly-released Thor Love and Thunder Marvel Legends Groot figure, which combines a lot of newness with a much-requested re-release of the 2018 Teen Groot…
Continue Reading →It’s been quite a while since there was a new GameStop Exclusive Marvel Legends figure for fans to look forward to and/or fear missing out on. But that streak came to an end today, with an unexpected Marvel Legends Mister Negative & Inner Demon figures two-pack going up for order! Fans have been waiting for a 6″ Mr. Negative Legends figure for years–will this one satisfy their needs?
Continue Reading →The MCU iteration of Valkyrie is a drastic departure from the main Marvel comic book version representation of that same character, but I think this is an instance where the mainstream movie iteration makes a traditionally mildly successful character worlds more popular and marketable. As such, it seems appropriate that MCU Valkyrie will now surpass her comics self in ML editions, as the new (and pretty great) Thor: Love and Thunder Marvel Legends King Valkyrie figure is now shipping out to fans…
Continue Reading →It’s no secret that Disney is subtly introducing the Young Avengers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Kate Bishop Hawkeye, Patriot, Wiccan and Speed all debuting (to an extent) over the past year. And another core Young Avenger is premiering in the MCU and as a 6” super-articulated Hasbro figure this spring: the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness Marvel Legends America Chavez figure is now available! Should she punch her way through the Multiverse and into your collection? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →It’s been a while since an entire major series of movie Marvel Legends figures managed to completely slip out and become public knowledge before Hasbro could even announce a singular figure from the lineup, but that’s exactly what happened this month with the latest MCU wave. Weeks prior to the scheduled pre-order, the entire Marvel Legends Thor Love and Thunder series leaked all over the internet. Hasbro hastily announced the set last week after the cat was out of the bag, and now the Thor Legends Korg Series is officially up for order!

If someone had told me a few years back that the day would come when Wong would be the most vital Marvel Cinematic Universe hero lacking a super-articulated figure, I’m not sure I would have believed them. But that day did come, and now it’s gone—because the Hasbro Marvel Legends Wong Figure is now shipping! Fans have been requesting a movie Wong Legends figures for six years now—is the first mass-release Wong figure ever worth your 20+ bucks?

And a new boost in notoriety also means new merch! Hasbro, Diamond Select Toys, Funko, Hot Toys and more are all answering the call with newly-revealed Moon Knight figures, including Marvel Legends, Marvel Select and even POP Vinyls!

Is this fuzzy green minotaur-looking sorcerer worth your effort and investment to put together?
Continue Reading →The 2022 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Retro Collection is chock full of “ultimate”, definitive-level 6” action figures. The subject of today’s review is not one of those figures, in my opinion. While there’s always plenty of fans excited and happy to buy a new Marvel Legends Hobgoblin figure, I’m not convinced that this 90s Spider-Man animated style Hobgoblin figure is hardly an upgrade over what we’ve seen previously at all…
Continue Reading →You just know it’s a true golden age of Marvel action figures when Hasbro feels confident enough to bring out a new version of one of Toybiz’s biggest duds of all-time. The Spider-Man The Animated Series Spider-Armor figure languished unloved on store shelves for years and years in the 90s, which is likely why it’s never been upgraded to a 6” figure. But the time has come to see the Spider-Armor Mark I available again, and the retro 90s Toybiz packaging definitely feels apropos in this instance. this is probably the only Marvel Legends Spider-Armor Mark I figure ever to be available—is it worth getting? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →From Siryn to Speedball, Hasbro is rolling out a multitude of never-before-done characters as part of their 2022 Marvel Legends figures lineup. And the latest 90s niche favorite to get the spotlight is the subject of today’s review: Marvel Legends Sleepwalker! He’s in-stock now on Amazon for MSRP and not nearly as Z-List as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness wave-mate D’Spayre—should you let this comics-based Sleepwalker figure haunt your waking hours?
Continue Reading →Hawkeye doesn’t seem to have had nearly the same level of success and mainstream permeation as the other Disney+ Marvel series. I’ve never seen a singular meme or had any friend say a peep to me about the show, unlike even What If? Nor have there been any Hawkeye toys on store shelves just yet. But the Disney+ Hawkeye merch universe is getting a big boost of notoriety today, as the Marvel Legends Hawkeye Kate Bishop and Clint Barton figures are now up for order from the Infinity Ultron Build-A-Figure series!
Continue Reading →Carol Danvers’ popularity has had its ups and downs since her live-action MCU movie came out in 2019, with some fans quickly burning out on the character due to the copious amounts of merch suddenly available for her. But one version of Captain Marvel a lot of collectors have still been asking to see in Hasbro 6” figure form is her ultimate comic-based form: Binary! Her limited release was announced last year, but after initially only being available at EBGames in Canada, while supplies last (which won’t be long if she follows the trends of Quasar and Nova), the Walgreens Exclusive Binary figure is now up for order online domestically!
Continue Reading →It’s fitting that in the year that will include the half-century anniversary of his first appearance, Hammerhead will at long last be having his first mass-release action figure on retail store shelves as well. He may look like a generic gangster with a bad haircut, but Hammerhead has appeared in numerous forms of media over the years and is among the most prolific Spidey villains still needing a Hasbro figure. Now that the Marvel Legends Hammerhead Spider-Man Retro Series figure is available and shipping out, should you let this mobster lay claim to your 22 dollars?
