I was beginning to wonder if Hasbro was going to bother sending out high-res images of the upcoming 3.75″ Avengers Assemble Series 1 action figures, but it seems I started to doubt just a little bit too soon!
Today, Hasbro sent out press images of five of the six figures scheduled for the first series of figures based on the new Avengers Assemble cartoon: Red Skull, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk and even The Falcon!

Hasbro might have thought they were fooling someone by releasing information on all of the Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con exclusives yesterday except one, but their attempted surprise was more than a little spoiled by the fact that we had already seen and reported on the Marvel Universe Lady Deadpool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Championpool figures last week.

It’s been a slow year thus far for Hasbro Marvel Universe figure collectors, but things are about to start heating up! Marvel Universe 2013 Series 1 cases have now been put up for ordering and will ship out in June 2013! While it’s always a bit puzzling when the first series of the year for a toy line ships halfway through the year, I’m thankful to get some new Marvel Universe 3 3/4″ action figures at all!
