At this point in late summer, merchandisers are firmly going all-in with Thor Ragnarok toys and pretty much every toy coming for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man Homecoming has gone up for sale. But it looks like there was at least one major holdout, as Bandai Japan had two more Spider-Man Homecoming figures waiting in the wings: the SH Figuarts Homemade Suit Spider-Man and Iron Man Mark 47 figures are now up for order!

As I think we’ve probably all been expecting, Marvel toy news has been a little bit sparse the last few days (what with San Diego Comic Con–the biggest toy reveal event of the year–being next week and all). But while there’s nothing newly revealed to talk about, that makes this the perfect time to discuss something newly-released! While we’ve had the Hasbro and DST Doctor Strange movie figures for quite some time, we’ve had a bit of a wait for the Asian import. When Bluefin Distribution created an entirely new giant wall earlier this month to pair with the Bandai Tamashii Nations SH Figuarts Spider-Man Honecoming figure–just so that it could be released in the United States–it really hit home to me that Marvel Figuarts are here to stay in North America. So it’s not a big surprise that as pre-orders for the leader of the Figuarts Guardians of the Galaxy open up overseas, we’re getting them domestically too: SH Figuarts Star-Lord (with purple explosions effects!) is now up for order in the U.S.!

Bandai Japan announced that they had acquired the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 license a few months back, but I started getting a little fidgety wondering if they were actually going to use it when April arrived and we hadn’t seen a single prototype. But while there’s still no word on what characters will be in the S.H. Figuarts GOTG Vol. 2 lineup, we at least know one figure that is on the way: the SH Figuarts Star-Lord figure has now been revealed!

At this point in my collecting life, I thought that I already had just about every Iron Man figure repaint that I’ll ever need (though I will most certainly find space for more Hot Toys Iron Man House Party Protocol armors, should Hot Toys ever get around to releasing them).
