I probably own more action figures of Spider-Man than any other Marvel character. In fact, I probably own more Spider-Man action figures than any other character, period. So it isn’t very often that a new Spidey figure goes up for order that I’m really, really excited about. 2016 Marvel Legends Black Panther… and 4″ Price Increase?

A couple of unannounced Marvel Legends 2016 4″ figures turned up on eBay last week, leaving fans wondering whether the figures were legit. Well, we Marvel Universe-scale collectors didn’t have too long to wait to find out: Hasbro has officially confirmed two upcoming new Marvel Legends 3.75″ figures–Black Panther and House of M Spider-Man! But there’s one other bit of news: a troubling potential price increase to $19.99 per figure…

UPDATE: And rejoice–Hasbro has confirmed that the price increase on their site was an error: 4″ figures will remain $12.99 in 2016.

There’s likely to be a little less Marvel Toy News this week than usual, as merchandisers (and collectors!) are temporarily distracted by the impending release of some big movie (apparently, there’s been an awakening). Even so, Hasbro hasn’t forgotten their Marvel Legends fans, and they’re planning to unveil a different 3 3/4″ Marvel Legends 2016 Wave 3 figure every day this week! And on the four days of Force Awakens-mas, Hasbro given to us: Marvel Legends Quasar, Hydro-Man, Morbius and Mohawk Rogue!

Earlier this week, pre-orders popped up half-expectedly for the 2016 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Absorbing Man series. At the time, we only had grainy, low-res images to make our ordering decisions based on. But if you were waiting for hi-res photos to make up your mind, Hasbro has now sent out gorgeous official images of the whole wave! From Spider-Carnage to Spider-Gwen to Speed Demon, the gang is now all here in lovely, official hi-res image form!

It’s been a long wait since the series was revealed at SDCC 2015 back in July, but the time has come at last: the first wave of Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2016 figures is now available for order! Sometimes we have to wait until January to roll around to get our first batch of a new year’s Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ figures, and sometimes we do not. This time is the latter, thankfully–not only can we order the new 2016 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Series figures this month–they’re supposed to be delivered this month!!

I was totally surprised by the lack of a Funko POP Vinyls Green Goblin in the Villains Marvel Collector Corps subscription box that came out last month, as I figured ol’ Gobby was a shoe-in for a release as a limited exclusive in that box. Well, turns out a Funko Green Goblin is on the way–and he is a limited exclusive! A second series of Walgreens Exclusives has been revealed with Green Goblin, Taskmaster and Iron Spider POP Vinyls!

2016 Marvel Legends Packaged Figures Photos Revealed!

With the recent releases of the Target 3-Pack and Walgreens First Appearance Daredevil exclusives, all of the 2015 Marvel Legends 6″ figures that had been scheduled have now been released. But don’t get too comfortable, Marvel collectors! While we’ve still likely got 6-8 weeks before they begin to arrive in the United States (less if Hasbro wants to rush them for Christmas), photos have leaked out of the factories in China giving us our first look at next year’s packaging and the final finished figures composing the 2016 Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War and Spider-Man series!

I have a pretty wide range of collecting interests, and as such, I’m always pretty pumped when two things that I collect interesect in an unexpected way. I’ve been playing the ultra-popular Disney Tsum Tsum mobile game on-and-off for about a year now, and picking-and-choosing random Tsum Tsum plush along the way. But next month’s new set will be an instant buy all-around: because it’s the first-ever Marvel Tsum Tsum plush series!

Sideshow Premium Format Symbiote Spider-Man Up for Order!

Sideshow Collectibles has made it no secret that they were planning on making variants of their new-for-2016, gravity-defying Spider-Man Premium Format Figure. In fact, before ol’ classic red-and-blue Spidey even went up for order, an image had already leaked out of a Black Costume Spider-Man Premium Format statue.
