Jubilee has traditionally been among the last of the Jim Lee/X-Men 92 core characters to get representation in most collectibles lines ever, so I’m very glad to get a new 6” figure of her in Hasbro’s X-Men 97 lineup just one year into the line (and even before Beast). Morph was one of my childhood favorite X-Men by virtue of the fact that he died in the first episode of X-Men 92 and then had a compelling character arc afterwards. New York Comic Con is not the mecca for toy reveals that it once was, but we haven’t reached a day where collectibles companies are just ignoring it either. And so, while Hasbro didn’t exactly bring out the big guns for their Marvel Legends showing at NYCC 2024, they did bring a solitary BIG gun. Way back in my 2017 review, I thought the X-Men Legends Cyclops figure in the Warlock Series was acceptable, despite its flaws, because we were in the middle of a Jim Lee Cyclops famine. In 2024, not so much. We’ve seen numerous representations of Cyke in this costume in the interim, but as far as Hasbro 6” figures go, the newly-released X-Men 97 Marvel Legends Cyclops easily takes the crown as the best Jim Lee Cyclops figure ever made…

LEGO Marvel sets have certainly fallen a tad in popularity and sales at mass retail over the last few years, with fewer major widely-distributed sets arriving in the biannual drops and more expensive sets (like last year’s $500 Avengers Tower) being released solely as more limited exclusives. But that doesn’t mean The LEGO Group (TLG) is throwing in the towel! When Hasbro released their first 6” Marvel Legends Rogue figure in her 90s Jim Lee costume back in 2017, it was a pretty big deal and a hole-filler for many X-Men collectors. Flash-forward 6+ years, and we’ve had multiple X-Men Legends Rogue figures since.
