Up until now, I’ve been cherry-picking and talking about the most hyped and most popular figures from the 2020 Spider-Man Marvel Legends Demogoblin Series. But since it’s a requisite to buy all six figures to build the Demogoblin Build-A-Figure, I’m going to have to talk about every figure in the wave—including one of the weirder Spider-Man costumes Hasbro has done to-date! Marvel Legends Spider Armor Mark III is still available online discounted with Prime shipping despite the pandemic—is it worth ordering out for while you’re stuck at home?

At San Diego Comic Con 2019, Hasbro announced a character for release in the Marvel Legends lineup that many fans legit believed would never be done. But after years of requests and dozens of issues of her solo comic book series, a 6” Squirrel Girl action figure finally became a reality! And after a half year of waiting, the Marvel Legends Squirrel Girl figure is finally shipping out from retailers… boxed with a scooter that hasn’t exactly been met with a warm response. How is this box set as a whole, and is it worth its price tag? Here’s my review…

And the first figure I want to review while getting back on the wagon is the second BAF of the year (with the first being the superb Fantastic Four Series Super Skrull)! You’ll have to purchase the entire first Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2020 wave to build the Demogoblin Build-A-Figure: is he worth it?

While I talked about and gave impressions of the Avengers and X-Men Legends waves that launched for pre-orders over the weekend, Hasbro brought plenty more goodness to show at the event–including long-awaited Marvel Legends Nimrod and Old Man Logan figures, along with Old Man Hawkeye, new versions of Rogue and Storm, and more!

With arguably the biggest Hasbro event of the entire year just days away, I didn’t anticipate we’d be seeing anything new up for pre-order in the next few days. But hey–what do I know, right?! While various leaks have already started popping up (like that 6″ GI Joe Declassified line and GameStop Marvel Legends Outback Hulk), we won’t have to wait much longer for Hasbro to play their cards. Continue Reading →If there was any speck of doubt left that we are living in a crazy golden age of Marvel Legends action figures, the subject of today’s review should remove all doubt. She’s one of the wildest and most off-the-wall additions to the Spider-Man Legends series ever (and I think that says a lot!): the Hasbro Marvel Legends White Rabbit figure is shipping now from online retailers and flying off the shelves in the stores where she’s appeared! Is this whimsical and elusive White Rabbit worth chasing after?
Continue Reading →New York Toy Fair 2020 is just a short 10 days away—but before I get to NYC to photograph and preview a plethora of upcoming Hasbro Marvel Legends 2020 figures, I’ve got some catching up to do talking about some recently-released ones! And this time out, I knew the figure I wanted to review first—because he’s a cagey old codger who refuses to wait: the 2020 Marvel Legends Vulture figure headlining the Spider-Man Demogoblin Series is now available! After over a decade since the last 6” classic Vulture, has Hasbro perfected the old-timer?
Continue Reading →With New York Toy Fair 2020 just two weeks and change away, I expected Hasbro to hold all their cards close to their vest until the event. Nevertheless, over the weekend images leaked of a new version of the popular 2018 Hasbro Monster Venom Build-A-Figure. And now, those who missed out on the original release and who just wanted a crack at a more “classic” styled iteration have got another chance: the Marvel Legends Venom Build-A-Figure variant is now up for order as a solo figure!
Continue Reading →But wait—there’s more! Before I move on to reviews of the first 2020 Marvel Legends Spider-Man series, there’s one more Fantastic Four Legends figure to review: the Super Skrull Build-A-Figure! Toybiz released several variants of Super Skrull that were ridiculously difficult and expensive to obtain, but you can build this Hasbro Super Skrull BAF “free” if you buy the whole Fantastic Four series. Is he worth buying this wave to complete…?
