Hasbro has seemingly entered a strange and terrifying new era this year wherein literally the first time we’ve seen numerous new Marvel Legends 6″ figures is when they’ve already been released overseas and packaged photos have leaked out. Such is the case with the Marvel Legends Civil War Wave 3 photos that popped up online today, which not only let us see some characters for the first time–it confirms characters like Marvel Legends Wonder Man and Eel we weren’t even sure were coming!

Having grossed over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office thus far, it’s easy to assert that Captain America: Civil War has been the blockbuster success it was intended to be. What hasn’t been so easy, however, is finding collector-level Civil War toys in retail stores thus far. But while the Marvel Legends 6″ figures are still few and far between at retail, at least some new movie toys are making it out: the Toys R Us exclusive Marvel Legends 2-Packs containing Black Panther, Agent 13, and comic-based Iron Man and Captain America have now been released!

As is becoming the trend with Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ figures in 2016, the last figure that we hadn’t seen yet (and which Hasbro still hasn’t officially announced at all) is the Build-A-Figure of the Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2016 Wave 2 set: Space Knight Venom. We’ve seen photos of the broken-up pieces of Space Venom before in packaged photos, but today photos cropped up online for the very first time showing us the completed Marvel Legends Space Venom Build-A-Figure, along with size and scale comparison photos to the rest of the wave!

Well here’s a strange turn of events! Although the 6″ Marvel Legends Spider-Man Space Venom Series has been up for order for over two weeks now, Hasbro has yet to officially release any images of almost half the wave.

But now they’ve been beaten to the punch by their own distribution, as the summer Spider-Man Legends figures series has hit eBay after being released in Hong Kong!

Even though cases of this summer’s Hasbro Marvel Legends X-Men Series of 6″ figures went up for order a couple weeks ago containing all eight figures in the wave and no duplicates, some collectors only want to pick-and-choose some of their favorite X-Men without having to buy a whole case. As such, folks have been asking me pretty much every single day when Amazon would be listing these figures for individual purchase. Way back in February 2016, the very first mass-released Captain America Civil War movie toy hit store shelves: the surprisingly-decent Marvel Legends Civil War Captain America Motorcycle and figure set. The back of the box for that item showed off a second figure in the box set assortment–a movie Falcon figure, but Falcon was nowhere to be found at retail. Fast-forward four months, and the time has come for Sam Wilson to spread his wings: auction listings for the Marvel Legends Civil War Falcon figure has now begun appearing online, and the figure is expected to fly into mass retail any day now…

We’ve known for a few weeks now that the newest series of Hasbro X-Men Marvel Legends and Spider-Man Marvel Legends 6″ figures would be going up for order on June 1st 2016. Two series of $20 each figures at once can be a lot to handle–but out of nowhere, a third wave has been added to the mix tonight!
