You know that saying “You can’t see the forest for the trees”? Yeah–that’s about how every Marvel Legends collector feels today. The focus has been centered on the first wave of Avengers Marvel Legends 2015 figures for so long now that even though that series is finally up for order, something else has slipped through the cracks. Already packaged and coming soon to stores–it’s the 6″ 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 Thanos Series!

It seems like only yesterday I was predicting a late release for the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 figures (because it was), but in the last 24 hours the gears have finally begun moving on this year’s Marvel Legends train: the Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2015 figures are now up for order! The case ratios for the series aren’t bad, necessarily, but for once, I actually wanted Hasbro to heavy-pack a Spider-Man figure, and of course, they did not…
Continue Reading →There hasn’t been a non-exclusive Marvel Legends action figure released since last summer, and the natives are starting to get restless! While factory samples of the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers figures slipped out a month ago, there was no official word from Hasbro that retailers could begin taking pre-orders–much less an actual release date. But thankfully, relief is finally in sight: the Avengers Marvel Legends 2015 Infinite Series figures are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Last week, we finally learned the figures that will make up the second half of the Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man Infinite Series wave. Unfortunately, while collectors are drooling over this wave now, they’ll have to wait a few more months for them to hit the United States. But once again here to help tide us over until the figures reach our loving arms, it’s Hong Kong scrappers to the rescue: factory production samples of the 2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures are now being sold online!
Continue Reading →“Will they or won’t they?” has been a hot topic of discussion among collectors regarding toy manufacturers’ plans for this summer’s could-be-big Marvel’s Ant-Man movie. Besides some Funko Wacky Wobblers, none of the big companies have said squat about Ant-Man thus far.
But thanks to the handy-dandy Target DPCI database, we finally know for sure that a Marvel Legends Ant-Man figure is coming in 2015!
Continue Reading →While we got to see the full Avengers Marvel Legends 2015 figures series at San Diego Comic Con 2014 last July, Hasbro was only willing to give Spidey fans a teaser of what to expect from the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 figures series, showing off only half the lineup.
I imagine Hasbro planned to make us wait a bit longer still for the big review, but once again news from Asia has swooped in with the scoop: the full Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man series with Daredevil has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →I get a handful of people messaging me each and every week asking when the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers figures series will be going up for order. Unfortunately, Hasbro hasn’t allowed retailers to open pre-orders yet for the series (and likely won’t until closer to the new year). That said, while you can’t order them just yet, thanks to a series of auctions listed by a Hong Kong scrapper, we can get our first look at some stolen/discarded factory samples of the Avengers Marvel Legends Infinite Series coming our way this winter!
Continue Reading →While I was out seeing the wonder that is the Big Hero 6 movie last night, Hasbro was burning the midnight oil! As such, on a cold fall Saturday night, we got our first packaged look at the figures I get more people messaging and asking me about than any others: the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers figures!
We’re still going to have to wait until winter to get them, but now we can drool over the Avengers Marvel Legends Series 1 hi-res photos until then…
Continue Reading →Remember a couple weeks ago when I warned readers not to pay scalper prices for the Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Three-Pack, because eventually there would be plenty to go around? Yeah–that time is now.
I wasn’t planning to pick up the set until it hit clearance, but with a dozen sealed boxes in front of me, I couldn’t resist picking one up to review, starting with my favorite character in the set–Marvel Legends Radioactive Man…
Continue Reading →It’s been a very weird year for Hasbro Marvel Legends collectors. After kicking off the year in grandiose fashion with the Amazing Spider-Man Marvel Legends and Captain America Marvel Legends 2014 series, we got the X-Men Marvel Legends and Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends in July. And, well… that’s it for the 2014 Marvel Legends figures. With one exception: announced at SDCC 2014, the Target Exclusive Marvel Legends three-pack of Marvel Legends Ms. Marvel, Captain America and Radioactive Man has now been released!
Continue Reading →Rather than having a physical presence at New York Comic Con 2014 itself, Hasbro again held a night-before-NYCC party last night where they debuted a small handful of figures.
Not a whole lot of interest was shown, but the first two Avengers Age of Ultron Marvel Legends 2015 figures did make their debut: Captain America and the Hulk! Are they everything I ever hoped and dreamed of?
Continue Reading →Last week an unproduced Wolverine Marvel Legends Rogue figure carded sample sold for an insane nearly $3,000 online. Perhaps realizing that there’s a ludicrous amount of money to be made, packaged samples of three more unproduced Marvel Legends variants (running changes) have now surfaced! If you’ve for hundreds of dollars to burn, you could own the only known samples of the Marvel Legends Sentry, Iron Fist and X-Force Archangel in existence!
Continue Reading →I don’t typically report on ebay auctions, but sometimes something gets posted that makes me really sit up and take notice. Such was the case with the unpackaged sample of the Marvel Legends Phoenix Five Cyclops figure that was posted earlier in the year, and even more so in the case of the latest Marvel Legends holy grail of all holy grails to make its appearance online: a packaged sample of the canceled Wolverine Marvel Legends Rogue figure has turned up for sale online! But if you want this Rogue prototype, you’re going to have to be prepared to shell out at least the cost of three or four Premium Format statues…
Continue Reading →2014 has been the unofficial Year of Rocket Raccoon, with more Rocket Raccoon figures and toys being released in this year than every other year of Rocket’s 38 years of existent combined. Everything is perfect so long as you want movie-style Rocket Raccoon collectibles–but comic-based Rocket Raccoon toys have been non-existent in 2014. Luckily, Hasbro is stepping up to give us a new Marvel Legends Rocket Raccoon exclusive repaint–but he won’t come cheap…
Continue Reading →I’m a self-admitted X-Men fanboy, so I was anticipating this year’s X-Men Marvel Legends 2014 figures even more than the superb Captain America Marvel Legends and Spider-Man Marvel Legends series (not to mention the so-so Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends figures). As a shared Toys R Us/Diamond Previews exclusive, this wave was also more expensive and harder to get than the others. Are they worth your effort and money? I’ll start my reviews with the 2014 Marvel Legends Cyclops figure…
