Just when Marvel Legends fans thought they were safe… he’s back! If there’s one character that Marvel collectors were reasonably certain would not show his armored face as part of the Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends series, it’s Iron Man. But, well… here is. To Hasbro’s credit, they did choose an Iron Man armor that’s strongly linked to the GOTG, however. For better or worse, we’re stuck with Marvel Legends Cosmic Iron Man, so let’s take a look at the final production version of the figure and see if it’s any good…

Last week word broke (fresh from Japan!) that we were getting a quasi-unexpected Marvel Legends X-Men Infinite Series this summer! Sweetening the deal, the long-lost (and much-wanted) first-ever Jubilee Build-A-Figure has been moved from last year’s cancelled Marvel Legends wave to this new X-Men Legends wave!
I was wondering why we hadn’t heard about these figures sooner, though, and now we know why–the X-Men Marvel Legends figures are a Toys R Us exclusive series…
Continue Reading →I was a Guardians of the Galaxy fan before the Guardians of the Galaxy were cool. Well, actually, I’m not sure that the Guardians of the Galaxy are even “cool” now, but they’re at least poised to become recognizable mainstream superheroes due to this year’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Anyway, the point is that I’m a huge Guardians of the Galaxy fanboy. So it is with a ton of excitement and pleasure that I get to show off the first production photos of the actual 6″ Hasbro Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures, beginning with Drax the Destroyer!
Continue Reading →Well, this is certainly a first. For what has got to be one of the oddest reveals in Hasbro Marvel Legends action figures history, we’ve learned of a new Marvel Legends 2014 assortment of figures… from a Japanese magazine. No, really.
A hi-res photo has surfaced that gives us the goods on five all-new, never-before-seen X-Men Marvel Legends 2014 figures, as well as what appears to be confirmation that this set will come along with… the long-lost Marvel Legends Jubilee Build-A-Figure!
Continue Reading →On the eve of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie hitting theaters, I figured it was about time I wrote a review for the most high-profile movie Electro action figure. No, it’s not a Hot Toys Electro–they haven’t announced a sixth scale Electro (yet). Nor is it a Marvel Select Electro figure, as DST didn’t have reference materials in time to create a super-detailed Electro. No, this time out the most “high-end” figure is actually coming from Hasbro. Electro is only $17 shipped online right now, but is the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Legends Electro figure actually any good…?
Continue Reading →This will sound totally wild, but I actually don’t own any of the Marvel Legends Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie figures, as I was determined not to buy any of the trio until I found a retail-priced Black Widow. While that goal has been a major frustration for thousands of other collectors, Hasbro has just made things a whole lot easier by confirming a new case revision that will allow online retailers to sell Winter Soldier Marvel Legends figures sets for a fair price and hopefully make Black Widow and company a cinch to find in stores…
Continue Reading →Yesterday the much talked-about Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends 6″ action figures went up for pre-order, and today the case assortment for the series has been revealed! To my chagrin, the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures case ratios are not quite what I was expecting. Though he won’t even be appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it appears that there will be plenty of Marvel Legends Iron Man figures to keep shelves warm this summer…
Continue Reading →Considering what a complete and utter pain it’s been in 2014 to track down any Marvel Legends figures that aren’t characters named “Captain America” or “Spider-Man”, I’ve been half-dreading the eventual release of the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures. But no longer!
Not only has the “official” street date for them been revealed, but all six Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends figures (including Nova and Gamora) are now available individually for pre-order!

This pays off for me pretty frequently (shocker: I buy a lot of stuff), and it had the potential to pay off once again today, as I made a quick trip up to a NH Toys R Us with this week’s 20% Off coupon. I had designs on picking up a Marvel Legends All-New X-Men Box Set for a reasonable price, and I had the opportunity to pick from three sets at the store. In the end, though, I decided to pass and save my $71.99. Here’s why…

While there’s still hope for some of these figures (like Bulldozer and Classic Hawkeye) to make it to retail, some of them are lost to us forever. One such figure is the Marvel Legends Phoenix Five Cyclops figure. But although Hasbro has confirmed they’ll never mass-produce this action figure, you still have a chance to own one, as a Wolverine Legends Phoenix Five Cyclops figure prototype has now surfaced for auction this week!
Continue Reading →Now that the 2014 Toy Fair is officially in the history books, I want to jump back and discuss some of the collectibles that I put on the back-burner over the course of the past month. One such action figure is quite possible the single most popular Hasbro Marvel Legends action figure released thus far in 2014: the Spider-Man Marvel Legends Carnage Infinite Series figure! Carnage has had his fair share of figures released in the past, but this one? This one is going to be the bar that all future Carnage figures will have to strive to surpass…
Continue Reading →Once the Spider-Man Marvel Legends variants started showing up, we knew it was only a matter of time until the second wave of Captain America Marvel Legends figures followed–and that time is now! If you’re on the hunt for the movie Marvel Legends Black Widow figure (or the new Winter Soldier), it’s time to hit your local stores. The Captain America Marvel Legends Winter Soldier movie figures have now been released in the United States!
Continue Reading →Score one more for the leaked computer listings! In late 2013, a huge list of 2014 Hasbro products leaked out online. The list included a full rundown of Guardians of the Galaxy toys, but we weren’t sure if it was totally accurate–until today at New York Toy Fair 2014!
The Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Nova and Cosmic Iron Man figures have now been revealed!
Continue Reading →The Hasbro portion of the New York Toy Fair 2014 begins in just two days, but apparently Hasbro couldn’t stand to keep some of their main event offerings under wraps for even one minute longer!
They’ll be on display in the Hasbro showroom at the 2014 Toy Fair this weekend, but we now have our very first look at most of the 6″ Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures, including the 7″ Marvel Legends Groot Build-A-Figure!
Continue Reading →Collecting the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2014 Infinite Series has been an arduous undertaking. After hitting dozens of stores last month and failing to find even a single figure from Wave 1 (no, not even the Superior Spider-Man figures), I gave up and bought a set online. So the last thing I expected was to wander into a random, heavy-traffic Target on a Sunday afternoon and see one of the variant figures sitting on the front of the pegs staring at me. It was an unlikely occurrence, but I sure am glad I snagged this Spider-Man Marvel Legends Boomerang figure…
