The Void, the evil alter-ego (of a sort) of The Sentry, is essentially a near-omnipotent dark god. This Dark Sentry has only physically appeared a few times in Marvel comic books, but is easily one of the most powerful and deadly villainous entities in the Marvel Universe. As Hasbro released an updated Sentry in 2022, the timing seemed right to finally create this monstrous force. Due to its massive size and bulk, fans will have to buy six figures in the Marvel Legends Void Build-A-Figure Series to complete the fiendish foe—is it worth dropping that much for the ML Void BAF?

A Toybiz action figure I got a surprising amount of enjoyment out of growing up was the 1996 Marvel’s Famous Couples Mary Jane from Spider-Man: The Animated Series. I never expected to see that version of the character in toy form again, but 27 years later, Hasbro brought Spider-Man TAS MJ back to life in Marvel Legends form, as part of a 2-Pack with Animated Green Goblin! Sam Wilson became Captain America way back in 2014, and Hasbro released their first Marvel Legends Sam Wilson Captain America figure soon after in a 2016 3-pack with Vision and Kate Bishop Hawkeye. That “Captain Falcon” figure was wholly inadequate because, well… it didn’t have any wings. 8 years later, Hasbro is making good on past potential by launching a comics-based Target Exclusive Symbol of Truth Captain America Sam Wilson action figure today! I overconfidently assumed there would be plenty of time to pick up the complete Marvel Legends Void Series, but that supposition was proven wrong when Power Princess started to become nearly unobtainable at non-inflated prices. Luckily, I was able to quickly get a Marvel Legends Power Princess from Entertainment Earth to review and also to finish my Void Build-A-Figure. Many fans are purchasing this figure as a stand-in for Wonder Woman—a role Zarda here excels at. She’s not Princess Diana in name, but is this Squadron Supreme-completing team member still the best 6” Wonder Woman figure ever?

Last week, Hasbro celebrated Wolverine’s 50th Anniversary with new 6” figures of Lady Mandarin Psylocke and Ninja Wolverine, and this week they’re opening up pre-orders for a two-pack based on another Chris Claremont Wolverine classic: Marvel Legends Patch and Joe Fixit! “Wild and crazy” as descriptors of what happened to Psylocke in the last years of Chris Claremont’s legendary run on Uncanny X-Men. After being reborn, mind wiped, ethnically changed and soul swapped, Betsy briefly became the Mandarin’s assassin, Lady Mandarin. (I swear it reads better than it summarizes.) As Lady Mandarin, Psylocke battled Wolverine (in his “ninja” attire), until Logan defeated Psylocke and restored her free will. Given that The Vision has now appeared in three of the highest grossing movies of all-time, a lot of collectors might expect we’d be swimming in easily obtainable classic green and yellow Vision comic book styled figures by now. But nope! That version of Vision has only appeared a couple times in his most iconic look over the past 21 years, and those 6” figures are quite expensive to track down. As one of the five original X-Men, you might think we’d see Warren Worthington III in toy form relatively close in frequency to Cyclops, Jean Grey or even Iceman. But nope! Other than Archangel versions, the last classic Angel 6” Marvel Legends figure was released way back in 2005 (by Toybiz). A whole generation has grown up without a chance to buy a 6” Angel figure!
